Watsapp problem in my le2 since eui5.8 update applied

I have one serious problem as when I updated eui 5.8 since then I'm unable to open video in watsapp. The problem is when I download any video which I received its downloaded but when clicked not opens. I had to go back to watsapp home screen and again go back to my friend chat where I had downloaded the video and now the video plays
This is something a very big issue here..can anybody help here?????

I also tried reinstalling watsapp and deleting cache from the app settings. Pl help here.....

Yes, this is WhatsApp problem. I am facing this issue on my Moto G as well. Hope this will be resolved in next WhatsApp update.

Have you enabled automatic video and photo upload in google photos?

I had similar problem in Lumia running Windows mobile 10, when when I enabled Onedrive's autoupload feature.
disabling video upload resolve the issue.

Hi smokin...no this doesn't work..I disabled auto upload feature in Google fotos even from whole Google settings.....

Yes. This issue is there in Moto G2 running Marshmallow..
By the way , what version of Android is there in LeEco Le 2 mobile. I just ordered Le 2 from flipkart by exchanging the Moto G2.

Just updated whatsapp and issue resolved. See I told ya is a whatsapp issue. BTW 6.0.1 is on LE2

yes.. Marshmallow running.

I did not like the notification section.. no quick settings over there... and can not expand/collapse notifications to see msgs..

and I don't see custom rom's for Le2 in XDA..

I am facing another issue in whatsapp. While changing the profile picture, the image gets too much zoomed. Not able to set any image. Tried with different size images, same results.
Anyone else facing similar issues?

I was facing the same problem with my le eco le2 after I upgraded it to the latest rom EUI 5.8 ( i.e. if i was not using the phone for some time whatsapp went to sleep and it would fetch messages only if I was opening, a bit like when it goes in power saving mode).

I have solved this problem converting the app to system-app In case you do not know how to do it you can follow any tutorial over internet (this is one on the many https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lUCLnBXAFo)
