Way to reduce smudges on the screen?

It seems like my phone is always covered in gross looking smudges... I never had this problem with my previous phones. I can only see them when the screen is off in fairness. Is there a coating or something I can apply to fix this?

Thanks.

apply a screen protector you won't get rid of smudges anyway but you will at least prevent the phone from scratching when try to remove the smudges with your cloth or any hard material
the best way to remove smudges is by using a fiber cloth + alcohol
the alcohol as you know should be minimal concentration like a perfume or something

Thanks. Was hoping for a way to avoid having to remove the smudges at all... Anyone?

I have no smudges, and if there's few fingerprints its easy to clean, just wipe. Coming from Huawei that doesn't use oleophobic coating at all, i know what smudges are.

I exchanged my sapphire blue, due to this issue. If the smudges don't wipe off, you may have the glass oleophobic coating issue. If it bothers you that much, either send for repair, exchange or keep it as is. They're the only official options available.
