Well, no luck for me :(
I have renamed the original apk and copy the file you gave to the system folder. Gave 644 permissions and deleted the data folder as indicated. Reboot unit but widget doesn't update and the app either. The app seems the same and I can't find any settings to change the source.
Don't know if I'm missing something...

In nodded app (v2) there are somewhere four dots :):) to open Settings menu. There you choose provider. For me didn't work before I chooses provider. Then after some time and few clicks on refresh it worked. Also I found that some providers don't cover some areas so if you are outside major cities you still may get no updates but when you get into major city it works. Looks like some issue with how GPS is reported to weather provider web service and provider don't recognise the location.

Also important: not sure if it requires Xposed... I think don't but please check with others.

Hi @pa.ko and thanks for your attention to this matter.
I can see the 3 dots menu but there is nothing there. When I click it beep's but doesn't open a menu. I really don't know what is going on here...

Not 3 but 4 dots like this :: in between C/F and + I top right corner.

I just installed apk on my phone and it is there and it opens whether provider menu. And I don't have Closed on phone so it should work

Yap, I installed in my phone and I can see the 4 dots menu to choose the provider. But in the unit the app seems the old one :p
I will try to uninstall it with Titanium Backup and see if I can install the new one...

You have to replace existing app! Look around for step by step instructions but in general it is to find original system apps folder, rename / delete existing my weather.apk, copy new one with the same name as old one and set permissions to 644...

Hi

I did that in the first time my friend and it didn't worked, but now I managed to get it :)
I was looking in System/Apps files and found an APK named told.apk with the same icon that the weather app, so I give it a try. Renamed your file as told.apk and voilá, it's working :D
I can't choose the provider because it always FC the app, but with Yahoo now I have my city weather.
Strange this told.apk, does anyone ever saw that in your unit?
