I always dreamed about having this OS on my Nexus 5, since I tried and used it on my Nexus 4 a couple of years ago. This OS, from which both iOS and Android (and also others) picked and developed some ideas, was one of the best OSes ever conceived for portable devices. Well, Nexus 4 first and Nexus 5 now can install both stable or nightlies versions of WebOS (now called LuneOS). Just found on the official site some information and links

There are also links for testing on desktop and Raspberries devices

Stable builds

Nightlies

Links for ipks (kind of the apks for WebOS) and some other stuff

I just found out about this. Since my Nexus 5 isn't being used at the moment, I figured I'd try it out. I came from webOS using a Pre Plus before coming to Android so it's awesome to see this. I installed it and it works. It's not perfect obviously but it's still cool to see it again. I actually still have my Pre Plus but I like seeing it on a bigger screen. Are any of those ipk files worth installing? Has anyone tried them? And is this in active development? I see some recent nightlies but went with the stable version.

Yes, LuneOS is in active development. They are presently working on porting in a huge number of packages that LG just released open source for their new webOS open source edition release.
