After every reboot the phone high brightness mode is enabled automatically have to disable it manually everytime on codename phoenix.
Strange, no one on CNP or any ROM has reported that before. Could you grab dmesg and a logcat please? Use syslog app soon after you boot to zip it and upload it, thanks!

Before you do that though, does the ROM have an option for HBM in userspace? Are you using any kernel managers and setting it to enable on boot by mistake?

It is an issue after kernel updates. But can and should be fixed on device side like here (although it is for OP6): http://gerrit.aicp-rom.com/#/c/84785

High brightness mode quick toggle also stop working, have to access it in settings. Phone barely sleeping held awake 99% of time
I can't really control how userspace options are suppose to behave lol
and the non sleep issue is also a ROM specific thing, idk what causes it but overnight BBS said I had 80% sleep, that seems fine to me, better than my sleep.

Okay, sorry for reporting about deep sleep issue on cnp. I think it's a ROM issue it happens with stock kernel also. But High brightness thing is a kernel issue as it works fine with stock

@sleepwalking0593 @idkwhoiam322 I was on CNP earlier as well, and also faced the same issue of HBM turning auto turning on after a reboot (using Weeb). There is indeed a userspace toggle for it in CNP (Settings -> Personalization -> Device Features -> High Brightness Mode Toggle), which was on for me for some reason (even though HBM was off). I turned it off and also incorporated this fix in the ramdisk, and the issue didn't come back again. On an unrelated note, with CNP's stock kernel, I faced the dreaded usb kernel wakelock too (which has been discussed in Telegram as well), but ever since I've shifted to Weeb, I haven't faced the issue again and battery's been good! So no issues anymore, finally! :)

Sian told me he has this so I'm hoping it fixes the HBM issue. I just need to make sure it doesn't break panel modes on any other ROM but it should be fixed without the workaround from earlier.

I had very bad battery life even with this kernel on cnp. I think it's a ROM issue definitely.

What's your general idle and active drain on cnp with weeb

If you're flashing Magisk, please flash it BEFORE the kernel to retain ramdisk changes (if) made by the kernel.

what is it mean?If i want to update my Magisk, should i flash the kernel once again after flashing magisk ?
