Weird Earphone problem! Plays through speaker then stops and etc.

When i plug in both of my iphone 5 earphones the music plays through the speaker and then stops and then plays and finally comes to a halt. When i don't plug it in properly and leave it hanging the music plays fine (lower quality with lots of disconnections). The earphones work with my computer and other mobile phones so what is the problem? they both randomly stopped working but other headphones work fine? The iphone 5 earphones from a friend also works fine. Lol weird problem.

headphone of one phone may not work properly in another phone.
But, as your friends headphone works well with your phone, then your phone has no problem. There might be some problem with your iPhone 5 headphone.

the problem is that the headphones do work fine and there is nothing wrong with them as it has worked on multiple other devices. I have seen other XDA threads reporting the same issue with no replies or in clear replies that are not educated. I think it is a kitkst software problem.

I would blame your headphones.
But the Moto G is a bit picky with the earphones.
Im using my old earphones from an LG with Windows Phone and although they work sometimes Google Play Música closes when I use the earphone button.
Guess it only works perfect with those Motorola stylish earphones from the commercials.
