Weird problem with microphone.

Hello everyone,
I'm new user to this forum, but I have used this forum for a long time to study and mess around with phones. But coupe of days ago I stumbled upon a problem, that I can't crack myself.

So I had to replace my microphone with new one, because I physically injured it. Okay no problem, ordered new one, installed it and ran the phone. When I tried to make a phone call, no one could hear me. Obvious conclusion - new mic doesn't work. So I ordered a new one. Same procedure, still mic don't work with regular calls. So for the fun on it, I tried to make a call with Facebook Messenger and what to you now - microphone works as charm. Okay another conclusion - software issue. Since I wanted to install another ROM for a long time, I installed XenonHD rom. And same thing, with standard calls nobody can hear me and with FB calls, everything works okay. So just in case, I installed Lineage 14.1. And still the same weird problem.

So maybe you , specialists have some kind of thoughts, because I don't :/

I had this similair problem with samsung galaxy s3 and was motherboard, either motherboard connections are damaged or motherboard was faulty by the way as far as i know a lot of mobile have two microphones.

Also the cause can be live wallpaper so try this first


step 1: remove live wallpaper

step 2: Do a settings reset (Soft Reset) from Settings. All data will remain just the settings will be reset.

step 3: remove the live wallpaper

If this works you can choose to keep live wallpaper off or use different launcher such as nova
