Thanks for the kernel!! But I have a problem, vibration doesn't work. I'm on CM nightly 04/17 *old.. I know, but I find it stable. Will go to RC soon* I am using this "WerewolfJB_boot_v003_old.img".. It's the right one for my ROM I presume.. But vibration doesn't work. Any help? Thanks!!!

Edit: Flashed "WerewolfJB_boot_v003_new.img".. Vibration is sitll a no go....

sorry for being such a noob. but do you need to have your phone rooted before flashing this?
You need to have an unlocked bootloader. Which technically may not require root if you use the stock version of this kernel.

for ESA-XXX? do i need to unlock bootloader or is it unlocked? sorry im not that good at technical stuffs
All BL come locked, type "adb reboot oem-unlock" in adb, or "reboot oem-unlock" in terminal. If this doesn't work there's a hack method that works for all

I'm using this kernel since first release and it really is an improvement over stock CM, THANK YOU. I'm loving it, specially GPU OC option and can't wait for CPU OC too! :) I would just like to ask something about Tegra temp skin and temp throttle. When temp. reaches around 50C, CPU scales down to 1GHz. I understand that this is normal to prevent damage etc. but even If I set those numbers to a much higher value, like 70-80, CPU will still scale down BEFORE even reaching that high. Why does this happen?

Btw, do you have any plans to include SmartassV2 governor in this kernel as well? :)

Smartassv2 was originally supposed to be included, but once it reached 1.5ghz it stayed there, turning effectively into performance gov

I think its a bug: When you set the cores to 2 it works but when you turn the screen off and on the quadcore turns on and you have to set it again.

You have to have unlocked bootloader. If you have it install CWM using fastboot then Flash Cyanogenmod or stay on Stock and Flash kernel using fastboot. All the info is in proper forum section.

With Tegra Overclock I changed the number of active cores to 2 but when the screen goes off (standyby etc.) the number of active cores went to 4 automaticly.

i guess it depends on what tegra overclock changes... and i don't know what it changes :D
so i can't say if it's a kernel bug or tegra overclock bug ;)

Laufersteppenwolf has always announced that vibration won't work, if you use v003 kernel with a CM version older than May 5th. So just flash CM RC2 and read better the next time before flashing.

Hotplug max_cpus gets reset if you use camera, screen off, charging in sleep and it thing one more thing but I don't remember. Anyway it works like this: you set max_cpus to 4 and everything is OK. Then you open camera and start recording, camera driver sets min_cpus to 2 max_cpus to 2 and max freq to 640 and min freq to 640 for example. When you are done recording driver returns them back like they were before anyone touch them and that resets your settings.

Sorry for bad english.

I did read the instructions carefully.

ATTENTION: v003 has two versions: _old is for ROMs, based on CM nightlies older than May 3rd. _new is for ROMs, based on CM nightlies from May 4th and onwards! If you choose the wrong kernel, vibration won't work!

Since I choosed the right kernel "_old.img", its safe to assume vibration will work. But if it is intended that vibration won't work on older nightlies even on "_old.img" then I would not know as it is not stated on the guide.

But with LG Gearbox this was not so and with Eternity Kernel too.
