Does this kernel force dimming of the screen when the phone is under use?

I wanted to go back to the stock android 4.1.2 because I am missing some features in Cyanogenmod and the sole reason I changed to cyanogenmod is the ridiculous dimming of the screen when the phone is under use.

Uhh, i don't know if it's CM's or Your kernel's thing, but the range of the network in 2G is damn unstable.. and not only range - even if i have a good range, a pretty big amount of sms can't be sent or recieved..
Or maybe it's network transmitter's thing in my city.. dunno, but i almost quarreled with my girlfriend because of that, meh :(

God, I've got exactly the same problem. Lots of messages can't be sent event though I've got network.
And that leads to girlfriend problems too :p

Network stability isn't handled by the kernel. I guess you should blame CM or the "transmitter thing"

Try removing all incoming messages from the person you are trying to write. I've got the same issue on CM with CM kernel, but only to one person. Also try other messaging app, it helped for me.
