I'm facing the same RIL problems since CM10.1, now I'm trying this kernel, is awsome, but the baseband still change after reboot, and mobile data network get stuck after a while, did you solve your problem?
well i'm not sure we talk about the same ROM but i would like to test this Kernel with the latest CM10.2 nightly.
with my current setup: Optimus Play and latest nightly i've got quite a stable mobile and data network but a very poor deepsleep based on Baseband_xmm_power and Wlan_rx_wake kernal wakelocks. so i hope with this kernel to find a good deepsleep too :)

but for now first i have to do a complete fresh install to see if it would boot anyway. until now it's not booting.

i know but with 10.1.x version i have a lot of problems with my IRL funny thing is with 10.2 it's almost stable for me.
so i would like to use the 10.2 version.
when i flash it and do wipe cache and dalvik cache it doesn't boot so when i'm home i'll try it with a fresh installetion.
i'm looking with a good deepsleep, the optimus play gives me a lot of baseband wakeups 1.30h from the 1.40h running phone.
I'm actually trying the CM10.2 nightly as well. This kernel works just great there :)

Have the exact same problem. You have to start the phone and pull the battery around 5-7 times for it to boot, and when it does there's usually no signal anyway, so you have to reboot again.

Read my signature. I'm using the 20130908 not the 20130909. The last one does not boot ;)

I got my phone back! :p
I think you should just remove smartass, not working great on the device. We already have smartmax, which work quite similar to smartass. Better spend your time getting smartmax_eps to work on our phone rather than figuring how to fix smartass :p just a piece of my opinion :p

I'm getting some weird sleeping times... the cpu spends a lot of time awake with the screen off and I'm having a baseband wakelock. Any ideas of what's causing it?

Edit: I'm trying to upload some screenshots with the XDA app but with no success

Use tapatalk 4. I still have the last beta, but I'm considering upgrading. Upload images works great

BTW, good news about the baseband wakelock ;)

it seems like the CM team solved the wakelock from within the RIL. So all newer ROMs (including AOKP) should have the fix included ;)

i don't have the link ATM, but take a look at the device tree ;)
As soon as you said that I tried to hit the thanks button 100 times lol and did you mean newer builds for 4.3 or 4.2
Btw I'm just assuming here since carbon is based on aosp and cm it should also have the fix right?

sent from my Optimus 4x

just hit the thanks button

A new user of this kernel (on stock JB) after trying out iodak and optimus prime:

* I see that the LP core is automatically overclocked. What is the stock value? Does this detriment the battery considerably?

* Is GPU clock also overclocked or has that remained at stock level?

* What do you recommend I put in as minimum frequency for the CPU in Trickstermod? Currently it's 150000 for both min/max (however I suspect that's a bug as freq usually sits around 102mhz)

Thanks all. Glad to be a part of this kernel now.
