Does the job very well, I can even play the games I play at 144Hz.

That system is solid! I was originally going to make my own case, but I needed the system moved quickly so I just went with the R5. Nice job on yours though!

Does yours seem quiet? I need to get a longer USB cable and a boom for it but that's one of my biggest reasons for not using it when I stream at the moment.

I just make sure my switch is on setting one. Switch 2 is front facing only with a - 10db gain, and I think switch 3 is omnidirectional

Well, this is gonna take me a while to go over.

Basic specs:
Mobo: ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VI HERO
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K (4.6 GHz)
RAM: 32 GB (4x8 GB) DDR3-2400 (back when you could get that much for just $150, what the heck happened to DRAM prices these past few years?)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 (reference model with blower HSF and stock clocks)
Sound: Creative SB X-Fi Titanium HD / Sennheiser GSX 1000 (I switch depending on which headphone virtual surround I want at the time)
Video input/capture: Startech PEXHDCAP (Micomsoft SC-500N1)
USB: FL1100EX-based host controller card (hey, those Oculus Rift sensors sure love their USB 3.0 ports!)
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB
HDD: 4 TB (dual 2 TB 7,200 RPM RAID 0) Seagate array to hold my HDDs, 1 TB Samsung HD103SJ as an alternate OS boot volume, another 2 TB 5,400 RPM Seagate drive for misc. data storage
PSU: EVGA G2 1300W (yes, I am fully aware of how overkill this is for my current setup, but I wanted to be sure I had power to spare for a HEDT build around i9 or Threadripper later on)
UPS: APC Back-UPS 750 (found it practically unused for $12 at a Goodwill with a working lead-acid cell, would you believe that?)
Case: Corsair Obsidian 800D

The CPU cooling system pretty much needs its own little list, as it's a custom water-cooling loop. Used to cover the GPU, too, at least until my GTX 480 died and the replacement 760 and 980 didn't really need to get blocked.
-Laing D5 pump/dual 5.25" bay XSPC top/reservoir
-Hardware Labs Black Ice GTX 360 radiator + 3x Scythe S-Flex SFF21F 120mm fans (maybe not the best choice static pressure-wise for a dense, thick rad like that, but I already had 'em)
-XSPC Raystorm full-copper CPU block
-distilled water and biocide (no need to get fancy there!)

Peripherals:
-Eizo FG2421 120 Hz VA LCD (a substitute for my dearly departed Sony GDM-FW900)
-Wacom Cintiq Companion Hybrid (secondary touch/pen monitor, and also an Android tablet in dire need of an update past 4.2.1 Jelly Bean if any of you can help me figure that out)
-Kinesis Freestyle Edge (Cherry MX Blue switches, split design that won me over from my trusty IBM Model Ms)
-Swiftpoint Z mouse
-cheap computer speakers not worth mentioning
-Sennheiser PC360 and GAME ONE headsets (I'm at a bit of a tossup as to which I like better at this point)
-Oculus Rift CV1 + Touch controllers + quad-sensor room-scale setup
-Xbox One gamepad + wireless receiver (Rift pack-in, of course)
-Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar + RealSimulator FSSB R2 stick mod + Simped VARIO pedals + Thrustmaster MFD Cougar button frames
-Thrustmaster T300RS wheel and basic two-pedal set (aiming for better pedals and the TH8A shifter add-on later)

The core components certainly aren't the newest, but they work adequately for now. I'm mainly waiting on the Volta equivalent to the GTX 1080 Ti at the moment, and beyond that, hoping to move into i9 or Threadripper, whichever strikes the balance of high single-threaded performance with plenty of extra cores to spare, and even more importantly, PCIe lanes to spare once I start dabbling in things like NVMe SSDs, quad-channel USB 3.0 host controller cards and video capture/framegrabber cards that need PCIe x4 slots. Mainstream i5/i7 and Ryzen aren't cutting it in the PCIe department right now.

How do you survive with only 2gb of ram?
easily. this pc is for android stuff, except for compiling, which would take ages on P4. for internet and games i have another laptop:)
(amd a6-5200 + radeon8400 + 4gb ram)
i only store ROMs, linux isos, windows isos, and so on. and to flash phones and tablets with qfil and fastboot. and be sure not to have background apps running.
this way i hover under 500 mb idle and rarely past over 1700mb ram. with debian live, i get 170-200 mb idle. like in old days, cool isnt it?
i allready bought an core i5 mobo to replace but having trouble with ram:(

Until I started doing a lot more kernel building I was living off a Core 2 Quad Q9550 with 4GB RAM.
Reasons why are exactly what you mentioned - my use case didn't justify all that horsepower.
Also was gaming on a console back then.

smoked coffee Lake ?!

Seriously guys, before buying CoffeeLake you should read :
https://qz.com/1171811/intel-intc-c...bout-the-meltdown-and-spectre-security-flaws/
https://techcrunch.com/2018/01/22/l...-meltdown-spectre-complete-and-utter-garbage/
https://www.pcworld.com/article/325...licon-raises-more-questions-than-answers.html

I wish I had knew all this before moving to 8700K ... and "delid" also (?!) https://www.reddit.com/r/intel/comments/6e9bst/intel_seriously_needs_to_start_soldering_their/

Anyway, if you want to build Oreo (like LineageOS-15.1), you'll need the best ddr4 16Gb~24Gb >3000MT/s to get <30mn build times

Hope you join BBQLinux, with clean UEFI multiboot

Been years since I had decent PC. :victory:
I started going overboard quickly. Only wanted a basic desktop, and one upgrade led to another...

HP Pavilion 570-p054 - Base build - Case Inverted (Super Small Case)

Motherboard: Generic - HP Supplied, yet surprisingly had a lot of capabilities I did not expect.

Upgraded everything else to:
CPU: Intel Core i7-7700
CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 12 CO
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4 2400MHz
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti SuperClocked GAMING 4GB GDDR5
PSU: Corsair CX750M
HDD: Corsair Force Series MP500 120GB M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen. 3 & Western Digital Blue 1TB 7200 RPM
Mouse: Ajazz GTX Professional RGB Mechanical Mouse
Keyboard: Rii K66 Mech-Keyboard - Red Switches
Soundcard: :( Integrated ALC3863-CG I don't listen that much on the PC, so not a huge deal (plus I have no expansions slots, so I'd need a USB DAC if I wanted to upgrade)
Speakers: Logitech - Z130
Headphones: Sennheiser 595 (beaters), Sennheiser 598 (for work), AudioTechnica ATH-AD900 (for music)

I'm just curious how everyone's computers hold up to one another. Here's what I'm rocking:

    Manjaros Linux KDE Edition
    i7 5820k (4.4ghz overclock, up from 3.3ghz)
    ASRock X99 Taichi motherboard

So that's that. I've got a disk drive in there too. So what's everyone else rocking? I know for the Haswell E platform my specs are pretty underwhelm vut I've been pretty happy with it over the last 2 years and it will be my desktop for years to come with a few upgrades like an SSD and more RAM.
