What was wrong with the other thread

I went with one of the JAVOedge cases after seeing a couple of their designs on Amazon that had a cool aesthetic but were more on the girly side. All their designs have a nice casual look, more like a decent journal than a day planner. They're also very slim. I was after a book-style case initially, but went with the Pioneer flip case because of the simple picture-frame type stand which works well in either portrait or landscape.

It was a good call, because I now use the stand constantly--right alongside my PC monitor, on my lap, or atop a pillow pile on my chest in bed. The magnetic clasp works great for both the cover and the stand, there is a speaker cut-out, and all buttons/ports are accessible except the SD slot. There is a pointless cutaway to highlight B&N's pointless loop, but no way are you getting in there.

Overall I'm quite happy with the case, and the NC stays in it just about 24/7. It adds quite a bit in terms of protection and utility with a simple design and very little added bulk.

https://www.urbantool.com/hq/holsters/show-pocketholster

my nook fits in the main pocket perfectly and i cary it always with myself everywhere i go. i have it more than 4 months now and yet no hits or other damge taken.

no problems when siting in a bus or doing anything, i really advise this holster.

(since i dont have any bags to cary my personal daily stuff - mobile phone, key, wallet, mp3 player etc - i really like this toy)

Bought this one about a month ago. I love it. Small enought to carry around and the only one that has a stand that doesn't look like it will break off. Works great, the only issue I have is that it muffles the speaker, but for the most part I use headphones anyways.

Trying to decide between the Trident Aegis Case, the CrazyOnDigital, and one from ebay (Barnes & Noble Nook Color Genuine Leather Cover Case BK). Anyone have an opinion on what I should get?

Well the Trident one has the most drop protection with no flaps or anything covering the screen(good or bad). The CrazyOnDigital one has a complete cover and it's its own stand but holding it with the flap can be annoying to some. And the last one you mentioned has no stand and has a flap that could be annoying when you hold it but some people like to hold it like a book (personally I'd rather have the CrazyOnDigital over this one).

So from my personal view if you want it to cover the screen and open like a book then the COD one is better, if you want something to throw around with no flaps or anything than the Trident one is better.

I use the B&N Canvas Writer's Cover, with coated canvas covers, and a soft faux suede liner inside. It also has pockets for my screen wipe and some SD cards.

Thanks, I went with the cod. How is the screen protector?

I received the COD case from Amazon today and really like it! The case feels sturdy,I can fold the cover back easily for one handed reading and can also set the case up as a stand in landscape mode. The case has cutouts so power.volume buttons ,headphone jack and USB connection are fully accesible.

Trident Aegis Black has been great

The Trident Aegis in black has been great for me. I wanted something that would protect it well in case I drop it, and I bought it from Meritline the other day when they had a sale on it. Now it's $23.99, but occasionally they have sales and you can get it under $20 shipped. They won't let me post a link because I'm newer here, but Meritline is reliable - they're just slow to ship. It took a little more than a week to get it.

I just got the rooCase easyview in the mail. The thing is it really stinks, smells of fake leather. The fit and finish is great and light weight. The only thing is it doesnt have inside pocket as it use the inside of the case for grip when using as a stand.

I got the COD in and I like it. Works great for landscape mode but it is pretty useless in the vertical position (too front heavy). Still deciding if I should try to put the screen protector on it.
