I'm kinda stuck on a choosing a case.. I'm not one that cares too much for a book like flap cover and don't need the extra storage for spare SD cards or anything. I am looking at the Trident Argus one that lots are using and the Otter-box Commuter.. which one is better between the two? I know that the trident is cheaper but not for sure if it looks as user friendly with the flap over the SD card slot. Any info would be great..

i have 3 cases. and i love all 3 for different reasons. my dessin cover is just a basic hard case so that if i don't want anything bulky, my nook will wear that in flamingo. my silicone frame is just a backup for those days where i just don't want to fool with a "book style" feel, plus it's an easy gripper for laying out in the grass or by the pool and it's also flamingo. and my soho cover has 2 flaps, credit/gift card space, and lots of pockets without being extremely bulky. it's good for those "no purse" days & i just Love the chestnut color, it's such a deep saturated caramel.

so.. i just tried posting, but since i have less than 8 total posts, i can't do links.. but i purchased them all through Barnes & Noble nook color accessories!

On my silicone case, i decided to be a little fru-fru girly, and i put rhinestones on it! :p here's how far i got before i was bored and quit!

Can't find the Folio Black Leather Case for Nook Color anywhere! Tried Amazon, Ebay, CrazyOnDigital--no luck! maybe they stopped making them! Aww... I want to have a case that converts to a landscape stand for the nook! Doesnt matter if the built-in speaker is covered--I have an xmini pro that works well with the Nook! Please comment/pm me a link that has the case if you can find it!

I bought a Folio Black Leather Case from Crazy On Digital (link)

Its a great case, I tried 2 before I finally found the one i like.
I'm looking for this exact same case. A case that's not leather, can cover the nook like a book, and can also function as a landscape view stand! This is perfect! I've tried looking for it in Amazon, ebay, CrazyOnDigital but no luck so far! Maybe they stopped making them! Please tell me if you can find them somewhere! :D

That is what I bought, I think they are only selling it as a package, the screen protectors work, not the best I've ever seen, but they are pretty good, and it's handy to have a spare. I really do enjoy this case, I am a bit clumsy and have dropped it a few times, I did manage to scratch on of the corners as it took a particularly nasty tumble onto concrete payment, but otherwise still in great shape.

I word of warning, it does cover and muffle the speaker, but I usually wear headphones anyways so it's that that big a deal for me.

Well, the CrazyOnDigital case would work for you, does stand on it's own in landscape mode and does allow access to the usb / charging port without having to remove it from the case. The only thing you can't get to is the uSD slot, but I never remove mine anyways.

I bought this CrazyOn digital case package too and after a few months of use have fallen more out of like with it. Mainly because the interior lining has been rubbing away at the exterior NC finish. No good! Secondly because the flap that keeps the NC in the case isn't that secure and the nook slips down when in landscape mode, making the bottom part of the screen difficult to use.

I switched to a Trident Aegis and I'm pleased with slightly chunky yet aesthetic protection it provides.

5 Cases for Super Cheap!

I couldn't decide, so I got the case multi-pack from CrazyOnDigital.

When I'm going to be traveling, I use the leather case. And when I'm home for awhile, I have color choices (plus I gave one to my sister).

Plus I got all of the extras (data cables, earphone splitter, book light, etc).

14 Items - Normally $29.99. Got it with a coupon code for $24. (25SAVE20)

It wouldn't let me post a link, since I'm new, but you can find it easy enough if you Google CrazyOnDigital and go to the section for Nook Color.

I failed miserably trying to put on the screen protector that came with the CrazyOnDigital case. Too bad they only give you one.

I use usb host mode extensively and , so far, I have not found a case/keyboard combination that would work. I just use a logitech usb keyboard and usb mouse. Perhaps not the most stylish method but it works well . Here are some pics

Its crazy for me to see people that use the Nook to this extent. I mean, I use mine mainly to check some things online if I'm laying in bed or play some games. If I ever felt the need to use a keyboard, I can just use my PC or my laptop...lol

Did I mention that my wife and I live in a 30" motorhome? Space is at a premium so my nook takes the place of a desktop and a laptop computer. I have everything I need for traveling and it will all fit into a regular laptop case. I do have other computers at home but when on the road, the nook can perform all the functions I require. I take lots of photos on the road and transfer them in the field to the nook to proof them as the nook has a much larger screen than my nikon. I can process all my photos with editing software and store those photos on flash drives or sd cards.
I am sure that many consider my methods a bit over the top but iff you have a device as capable as the nook and do not use it to it's full potential, why did you buy it in the first place?

Yes, I would love to see an ipad-like flip cover that acts as a stand in landscape mode but does not add bulk (like the Crazy one does). I wonder if a case made for similar devices (eg. galaxy tab) would work.

I am using the Tasume cover from Barnes and Noble.

http://gifts.barnesandnoble.com/Tasume-in-Carbon/e/9781616825423/#

This is a fantastic case, It allows you to prop the nook up vertically or horizontally without issue, right side up or upside down. The wings fold into a triangle (tetrahedron) behind the nook so you can position it anyway you want. The volume buttons on the side work with the case open or closed which is nice if you have it closed while listening to music. Unfolded, the case doesn't add much overall thickness, definitely the thinnest of all the tri-fold (and many bi-fold) Nook cases I've seen from friends / in store. The styling is a definite home run, I have already attracted some complements on it's appearance.

The case is very durable and really easy to clean, took it camping with me over the labor day weekend to play music and do a crossword or two before calling it a night. Got home and a quick wipe with a wet towel and it was back to normal looking as sharp as ever.

My one major gripe with the cover is that the magnetic catch only secures the case in the middle when closed which means that the top and bottom triangle wings are left somewhat loose. After being left in the folded mode for a while the wings will have a tendency to flap open. Not a big deal when carried around by hand, but it was an issue when trying to shove the nook into the mesh on the side of my camping bag.

Overall, I am very happy with this case and I'll be using it until it wears out.

The answer is definately yes. I use an eWonder bt kbd/case combo made for 7" Galaxy Tab that works almost perfectly. The Nook fits in the case a bit snugly, but it fits. the bt kbd works outstanding! The keys are a bit small so with fat fingers, it is difficult to type with any speed. And it increases the weight & thickness of the package due to the kbd. Not for everyone. But I particularly like the fact it has a key that recalls previous screen, one that puts Nook into sleep, and one that pulls up home screen like pressing the N button on the Nook. It works extremely well for me. I would add pic of my setup, but I'm new to XDA & Admins will not yet permit. Sorry.

I am currently using the Otterbox Commuter Case. I originally did NOT put the screen protector on because I heard it was horrible but I broke down and put it on. There were a few bubble but I plugged it in for the night and when I woke up, the bubble were gone. Overall I am very satisfied with the case.

$40 isn't bad for this setup. Could you describe how tight the fit is? Do you worry about it putting too much pressure on the screen is? Are you worried it is going to fall out or anything?
