I'm looking for a SLIM but grippy case. Preferably black and not a clear case.

I went with the Spigen Tough Armour case. My partner and I have been using Spigen cases on all our phones for years now. Never once have they failed. top quality product.

Spigen cases are a waste if you're looking for case because the primary reason for using a case is protection. I'm using the Rhinoshield Solidsuit case. It offers drop protection up to 11 feet and also has an external button for the alert slider too. You may feel that the buttons are not so tactile in the beginning, but you'll get used to it as time passes. The case is slim and the phone feels solid in hands with the case on.
