What do you hope to achieve with ROOT

When a root method is released for the S7 flat and S7 Edge, what do you hope to mod or fix or enhance?

Here's a short list of what I want to achieve with root.

1: Unlock or Activate the FM radio capabilities for the T-mobile version (not just the Sprint version).
2. Own a device that doesn't tell me who the boss is, 'cause it's ME and not the manufacturer.

EDIT: I guess this thread is mute now, because there will not be root in the forseeable future.

Same as you except... Delete bloatware (T-Mobile TV I'm looking at you) , adaway and most important xposed for xprivacy cause games shouldn't need my phone imei number and location to play

Number 1 on your list may be a bit of a long shot. Note 4 & S6 both have FM Radio hardware but have been locked by T-Mob and have yet to be activated. :(
All the same, I'm looking forward to root so I can DELETE what I don't want, rather than "disable but still leave it eating up space on my phone". LOL

Dual roms. I miss that from the note 4. Samsung pay with root would be pretty sweet too.
I'd be happy for dual roms. What about a Linux environment that can run Ubuntu apps natively... I guess that's too much to ask also... (I know I know, chroot inside of android, but it's not the same)

1. Remove or disable system apps
2. Do whatever I want with my phone (install Xposed, change or customize settings, install apps that need root, etc)

It's my pocket computer, so I shall be the admin / superuser of it.

I don't really recall anyone actively trying to gain access to the FM receiver on the S6. That could be the issue there. I don't think there was ever a thread or request for it. There's a chance I missed it too lol

Unlock, carrier unlock so I can take my phone to any carrier CDMA or GSM.
You don't need to root for that. Some phones get methods to do it without contacting the carrier but if you're rooting just for that... there's a much better way lol

I want to be able to use tincore and moonlight at their full capacity. Seems ridiculous to me that certain input devices (such as a mouse) require root access to be fully utilized... feels like that should be standard functionality.

Finally I found a previous owner of a Note 4, if I may ask how are you liking the S7 and do you recommend I make the change or is there no notable difference between them?.
Coming from the note 4 I would say go for it. I'm a phone junky and I'm coming from the note 5. I miss the pen at times but I didn't use it heavily so I'll manage. Still missing the IR blaster but have found a solution for that. The phone is awesome. Great battery ?, super quick, aosp support, great ? and its water resistant. With tmobile jump on demand I'll just get the note 6 when I comes out. If you're coming from the note 4 I would say get it. Grab the edge since its hust a tad smaller. The regular s7 won't cut it.

If I can figure out how the new coding works and where the correct lines are at I'm hoping to put out a modded camera. Pre-Kit-Kat (or LP, can't remember) it was easy. Decompile to .smali files, find MediaRecorder.smali and edit the array. Now it looks like the data I'm looking for isn't in there and has been placed elsewhere or it's wholly HW controlled. If anyone has some insight on this I'd love to edit some bit rates and much more, PM me if you know anything.

Anyway aside from the normal things, that's what I'm looking forward to. Also since we have a SnapDragon: some AOSP and/or AOKP finally!!!
