Question What do you think about the S23U so far? (first thread)

I hated samsung phones but recently (latest 2-3 generation) those are really good piece of hardware and software , I do really like S22 ultra , I went from s22U to pixel7pro but pixel in my opinion is no as good as S22U , of course they can fight with whos is better for photos , but overal for sure S22u , I cannot wait and feel what S23U can offer .

If they could combine the pixel software with the Samsung hardware I think it would be the ideal phone.

The hardware updates along with the OneUI 5.1 update will make the S23U the #1 beast. 5.1 is adding more features than the 5.0 release. I think they saved the good stuff for the new phone release.. As far as ROMs, it would be hard to improve on the stock OS. The phone will be nice but probably won't get much love here. XDA used to be a fun place to talk phones, especially new releases. Everything is negative now - everything sucks - the camera sucks, the price sucks, the battery life sucks, the size sucks, no SD card, no headphone jack. Jeez, no wonder this place is deserted.

I wish I could try out oneui 5.1 everyone who gets an s22 / s23 is pretty lucky with oneui imo.

And yeah, everything is negative now in this world. And we need to get along with it.

I sold mine for this reason. I doubt it will be a huge improvement with the 23 without a larger battery.

I hope that the S23Ultra is getting a larger battery upgrade! S23 is still stuck at 3900mAh (leaked specifications) , in my opinion it should have 4000mAh for a better battery life.

Is it worth paying the extra for the 12GB ram or is 8GB plenty?

I wouldn't ever do much, if any, multitasking/split screen process at any time.

Personally I think 8GB is a bit weak for a flagship phone. 12GB/512GB would be the better choice.

If you use apps like facebook or watch videos/take pictures I recommend 8GB.

If you are a heavy gamer I recommend 12GB.

Samsung doesn't ship phones in the order recieved. Who gets their phone first depends on Shipping Location, Availability of Stock for model ordered and that Carrier models get priority over Unlocked models. Just cause you ordered yours before somebody else doesn't mean a thing to Samsung.
