Hello everyone

I'm conducting some research and I would like to know from you what version of Android you're rocking!

Once you done voting, reply on why you're using a certain version of Android (i.e. No stable ROMs -just an example, there are plenty stable ROMs-, no good battery life on certain version of android, to lazy to update etc.)

Then when you're done here go over to elvisypi's thread and vote on which ROM you're using

Thanks!

I'm on CM10 (AKA JellyBean), Sense is amazing, better than any skinned Android OS on other brands, but i've found it to lag after heavy use and needs a reboot to kick up again. i never saw that on CM.

I can understand where you coming from. Sense is very "bloaty"... But there is things you can do to cut it down like ROM cleaner and freezing apps you don't use :cyclops:

This poll would be better if you had it set up like this:
Sense 3.0 GB
Sense 3.5 GB
AOSP GB (CM7, etc)
Sense 3.6 ICS
AOSP ICS (CM9, AOKP, etc)
Sense 4.1
AOSP Jellybean (CM10, AOKP-JB, PA, etc)
Sense 4.5 Jellybean (just for future-proofing the poll)
AOSP Jellybean 4.2 (again, for future-proofing)

That way you can see exactly the more detailed preferences of the community (and also the broad preferences) rather than only the broad preferences.

No harm, just a suggestion

Hey man thanks for the suggestion :good:. I think I should edit it to that its just I don't want it to interfere to much with the other poll that is running at the moment that I gave a link to in the 1st post.

For me the only way to go is jb. Paranoid Android is my daily driver. I've been through all android os and sense (which I don't really care for) with this phone.if i can only get WiFi to work i would not have to get another phone.

My only problem with JellyBean so far is none of the ROMs give a really smooth status bar feel, and thats really important to me...
Also my phone gets hot really quickly with JellyBean ROMs and the battery life isn't to good...

I was on Cmx by Bruce and it was good except the wifi signal is too weak. My phone could hardly catch any when I'm at school. So now I'm on ViperS 1.4 and it's the best sense 4 rom for the Sensation. It's very stable, great battery life and smooth performance.

I am using European ICS 4.0.3 and Sense 3.6 stock rom, version 3.33.401.53 to be precise. Since the last .53 update that rolled out in europe, sense crashes have become quier rare. Its very good and stable now.

So moved from Apex launcher to completely stock experience. Working great for me.

Custom Roms were never my liking coz of the kernel changes devs do. I prefer running completely stock roms if there are not any serious issues :)

I'm using ICS 4.0.3 and 3.33 firmware also I'm using jelly bean Android version 4.1.2 with paranoid Android by Dragun Korr. It's stable fast smooth, and you can turn your phone into a tablet, or a phone/tablet hybrid, or leave it a phone. It has a ARM V 7 processor . I really love this rom and Android version. I've had no trouble what so ever with it! Wi-Fi working, tethering working, no reboots, no lag, simply awesome! Use it as my daily driver. Development is very active and alive with this rom. Always improving or adding something else! It's been the best rom I've tired in my opinion! I don't miss sense for a second. Tons of customization available!

imho, cm9 and sense on ics are the most stable and battery friendly roms you can get, for now. JB gave me a headache every time i had a look on the battery usage graph. but still, once you go JB it's hard to go back to sense or cm9. cheers.

ICS.

HTC Sense has a lot of useful stuff. Internet Pass-Through, Contact Sync is nice to have.

Tried a lot of JB ROMs still went back to Sense 3.6 and on rare cases, Sense 4.

After a number of attempts at JB I have elected to stick with ICS for the time being.
Not that I don't appreciate some of the improvements in JB but every ROM I tried just wasn't stable enough. I get better battery life and responsiveness with a fully tweaked install of an ICS sense ROM.
