I have an analog phonejoy. I'm very happy with it. I've mainly been playing SNES & MAME games. Only thing is that in order to use the analog aspects (besides just using the them as regular mapped directionals), the developer of the app needs to do the work to make it so that the phonejoy works as a true analog controller. For instance, with FPse, which is an amazing emulator, I can't play Ape Escape.
Also, a big advantage over the wii controller is that the battery lasts longer and that I don't have to carry a wii-mote along with the classic controller.
