What happens if I update being rooted?

Hey guys, what happens if I update while I get rooted? My phone suggests me the 139.50 update, but I'm rooted, will it work? Do I need to root it again after the update?

Since you're rooted, I'm assuming you probably have a custom recovery like TWRP installed.

Any official update (OTA) will work only with a stock Android recovery installed.

This means no, you cannot have an OTA update once you root. However, there is a thread on this forum somewhere which has a very reliable but slightly complicated method of getting OTA updates even of rooted.

Thank you so much. It looks way harder than I thought. You need to update each version til the latest one. SMH. I'm not trying to be spoon fed here. But do you remember the keywords to this thread?
LOL it seems like it's gonna be a long day to update my phone.
