Laptop:
ASUS X550JX (15,6 inch screen, Full HD)
- i7 4720HQ up to 3.6
- 8 GB RAM
- Nvidia 950M 4GB
- Running in dual boot with Win10 on a 7200rpm HDD
- It works like charm (but without the latest update that I can make with OTA - it stays at that boot screen after cheking data)
- Everything seems to be working fine (LAN, Wi-Fi...)
- Antutu Score (useless but fun to do :D): 212282

From ancient laptops to high-end gaming rigs, Remix OS supports them all! What hardware do you run Remix on?
I have it on two systems,

A: Dell Optiplex 980 with core i5 and 4gb - installed to HD
B: mini-itx Core i3 on Gigabyte USB3 H55N - 4GB, installed to HD as well.

The dell will boot off the usb key and run the os just great using onboard video, but try as I might it won't boot from hd. The mini-itx is all good, using onboard video as well. Seems like everything works just fine. Both systems need wifi - is there a db of supported usb/pci cards?

-----------------------------
One thing I figured out about the Dell is that the HD was formatted with a GPT instead of MSDOS - I formatted it again using the gparted (mint linux live) and set the boot flag. Both as Ext4 and Ext3 it completes the install and now just hangs at the remixos flashing logo. I have made tons of test changes to the bios but nothing I do or have read about allows it to pass. No secure boot, using the onboard gpu, setting the controller into ata / legacy - many different changes. It just flatly refuses to boot - I've spent the better part of the day trying.

On the other hand the mini-itx took the OTA update and boots / sleeps / wakes without issue off the hd. No special bios settings on the H55N-USB3 /i3 - it actually has a Geforce 9600 with an antutu of about 105k. All USB ports seem to be working, dual controller support - Soul Caliber has great graphics and runs very very smoothly in 2 player mode. I have also got HD in youtube, Kodi with the beast addons are working and I have an IPTV for western canada that is working flawlessly as well. - No issues except without the video card and plugged into the HDMI out onboard I don't have any audio over said hdmi - nbd.

Anyone have any pointers with the optiplex? I have gone over the bios line by line, I'll try updating the bios next as long as I don't have to do it from windows. - I'd really like the dell to work and its driving me batty that it won't boot (I left it at the flashing logo for almost 2 hours.. .)

Lenovo G585
AMD E1-1500 1.48 GHz Dual Core

Everything works fine, no freeze except crash on some games, cannot play any video (MX Player or Youtube), some dialog boxes are invisible and cannot install updates.

I have a low end notebook SONY VAIO P which uses Intel ATOM Z530 CPU and with 2GB RAM. The ATOM Z530 has only 32bit capability. When I install the 32bit Remix OS on the USB stick, it can't boot into the desktop screen and stalled.

For your reference. :)

"To see if I could"

As mentioned in the title, this was purely to see if I could make this netbook actually do it (my partner had it lying around and told me he didn't care if I exploded it).

Asus eee 1000he, atom n280 two partitions (one 75gb Windows XP - I know...like I said, he had it "lying around"), one 72GB ext4 partition for Remix. Dual booting. Did not use Jide installer (obviously, win xp). No Linux installed, I just set it up so that Windows was able to access the ext4 for what I needed and grub2win.

Running great, update remix fine to latest version - video and sound both working, can watch Ted Talks fine, and play store installed. Pretty sure we may never boot this thing to Windows again.

Only issue so far is I can't take screenshots on it.

You're lucky. Nevertheless, z530 and n280 are different.

They are indeed? Sorry Jellysalt, I'm not sure if you thought I was replying to your particular post? I wasn't I was just reporting the device I got it working on in reference to the original thread. I do hope you find a workaround for your Sony though!

It don't work on my AMD setup X6 1090T & Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5 and on my MacBook Pro 13" mid-2010 with i5 CPU :(
If anyone got a solution to make it work...

Installed Remix OS beta into 3 laptops.
1) Medion Akoya E6239T, 8GB RAM, Intel Pentium N3510 2 GHz x 4
Windows 10, so the normal way, but into a separate ntfs partition. Have more than 12GB personal space. Everything works,
2) Lenovo B460, i3 CPU M 380 @ 2.53GHz × 4, 3GB RAM
Linux Box. Uninstalled Windows long time ago. Installed into a separate ext4 partition. ~12GB personal space Everything works well.
3) Lenovo G550 Celeron Dual Core 2.10GHz x2
Windows7/Linux dual boot machine.
Installed the 32 bit Remix here, also to a separate ext4 partition. ~12GB personal space. Working very well.

Here is how I installed it and got it going on separate ext4 partitions. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65943247&postcount=6
