I have noticed that various basebands give MASSIVELY different speeds on US AT&T. What is the best baseband and DSP to use for best speed/stability? How do you install it/where are the files? Are other files or setting necessary to speed up the network?

Stick to the unlocked official US basebands 318 or 322. The locked US ones will prevent you from getting over 300Kbps upload no matter where you are. I use 318 and get 3Mbps down and 1-1.5Mbps down in San Diego area.

There are a couple of posts on streak.modaco.com that talk about upgrading the streak. They have links to the files. What do you mean by DSP?

Along with the baseband file, there is also a dsp file that the phone uses. I believe it is a sort of driver file for the wireless data connection

Oh well I had just flashed stock 318 and then upgraded to streakdroid without change the baseband at all so whatever comes with stock 318 is what I got.
