I might be a dying breed here, but I run Sebastian's kernel because I prefer something that's close to stock but with optimizations.

The kernel runs cool, lets you overclock and undervolt, and battery consumption is low. That's all I really need.

/edit

So I started using Bricked again after a little hiatus and I have to say it's damned nice. Battery and performance are excellent, show's cmdlineopt is very convenient and sweep2wake is ridiculously cool. Sometimes I wake my phone just because it's fun.

Moral of the story: try them all. :)

Im curious to know what i should be trying

Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA
You may have currently choices of Bricked Kernel and Anthrax kernel.
Bricked Kernel is great in performance without beats audio while Anthrax kernel includes beats audio sound effect but weaker than Bricked Kernel in performance..
The best solution is: bricked kernel+rockbox (nicer sound effect than beat audio)

I love bricked kernel....

Anthrax kernel

it's like bricked on steroids hehe

Better beats audio (built in the kernel)
Swipe2wake
USB OTG
more cpu governors, including smartassv2

My antutu score is highest when using Anthrax, like around 7100-7200 using crappy no-brand China class 4 sd card, CPU 1.56GHz, 3D GPU 300MHz, 2D GP 228MHz, no ZRAM, 9% plus undervolt.
