What kind of installations are always safe to install into external memory card?

Almost everything. I install all into the card unless explicitly stated to be on the main memory. Including panels.
But I never remove the card from the phone, if you change it, it may give you troubles.

I agree. In my opinion this is the way for bigger battery lifetime, as I have noticed that the higher use of ram means higher heat of the phone and less battery lifetime. Do you agree enterfornone?

This is interesting, I always thought that the reading/writing to the SD card would translate into more battery usage. Thanks for the tip.

Actually I don't know. Never installed anything on the main memory. Something leftover from the old smartphones when the ram was a scarce commodity :)
Just everything goes to the card. Worked on Symbian, works now. Never had troubles (Skype Panel is the only thing I recall that does not tell you to go to the main memory, but doesn't install on the card).

well, some say to put panels not on the card, and many do not state where to put the new software....? and, also, very often, when installing a software, I am running into troubles, with the X1,and it would be nice, if the file would say, put it here screen resolution minimum....and if for wm5 or wm6....

for example I did installed the Touch it blackstone manila hd full on my card, and can not see it nowhere...?

sorry
