What OverClocking Settings are you using?

now i've flashed the 825 v3.5 overclock and my phone freezes in the desktop

do you have any problems?

my legend is a ****, even with 768 overclock it reboots every 15 mins

any idea about this?

ps: do i have to disable perflock?

My settings

Hi all,

I am using Dark Azure + dumfuq 3.5 @ 825MHz.

My Legend is as sold as a rock at this speed, and with the underclocking as well I havent really noticed any big changes in battery life.

I tried the 844MHz kernel, however this causes frequent lockups of my phone.

So I tried v3.5 806MHz and it seems stable so far. NFS shift seems to run a bit smoother, but gallery image loading and screen rotation still take longer than I'd like them to (its noticably faster than before)
825 was pretty unstable. Flashed 806 After 2 reboots.
I left the governor at "interactive". We'll see about battery life.

edit 3:
Has anyone noticed an increase in free RAM after changing kernels ?
I have almost 200MB after closing all unneccesary apps with "System monitor" app. It was around 140 before.

Using 806. 825 n 844 gave me random reboots and freeze.. 768, 787 n 806 seems stable... how did some of you can get 825 n 844 working? Plzz share how... TQ!

Speed

The amount you can overclock is really pure luck in my experience.

Some CPU's can be pushed harder than others. Its as simple as that.

Heh, brings back memories of my PC with dual Celeron 300's OC'd to 450.
That took about 6 CPU's to find 2 that were rock solid at 450. Fortunately I worked for a reseller.

you must boot in recovery(clockwork from "rom manger") and "install an zip"(the overclock-zip)...then must have the "setcpu"-programm to set "profiles" ...

I like this basic setup.

844 won't work for me though, I have to use 787.

I just get restart after restart, (or freezes). But it is noticibly quicker. Hope the Battery is OK.

I manage to get 844mhz running for a while and got 9.9++ on linpack... wheee!!! Just when I was saving the score.. it rebooted...

If I uninstall SetCPU will it automaticly use the interactive governor? And is there any way to change the settings of the interactive governor?

Already tried oc-ing using Dumfuq's kernel
Below are Quadrant scores which I got when oc-ing to 768 MHz (left) and 806 MHz (right)

I had no luck with 825 MHz and my phone did a several freezes and random reboot

I'm also using 825Mhz but I'm only getting 551 @benchmark and 9.845MFLOPS (azure 1.0.1)
And with 844 I was only getting around 560 and dind't have the time for linpack cause it rebooted

I am an astronomer so I'm working at night

Btw, I don't see a 'big' differences by using a higher frequencies than 768 MHz in benchmark scores, I don't know though if they had a big impact on daily use
