One cannot compare Appe products with Android products. Two completely different experiences.

No mobile to date can be a just comparison with the Note 7 as non of them have the one feature that made the note..The 'Note', that being the S-pen.
When I owned the Note 1 the S-pen was a simple writing tool and little more. The Note 7 integrated the S-pen into so many areas of ones daily use of the OS, it became like using a mouse!

There is nothing to compare. This is why I feel the loss so strongly. I think to compare the best IPS screen along side the SAMOLED screen is also odd. There again there is simply no comparison its like comparing the best of crap with the best screen type available. I don't want crap even if it is the best crap available. If I wanted good crap screen tech I would return to Sony.

No matter how we cut this there is zero to compare with our Note 7's. Its mind blowingly sad and frustrating. I have bought two pairs of headphones, I don't need, just to compensate my tech addiction and mourn the loss of my Note! Jeez.

Ryland, suffering withdrawal symptoms.

We should start some sort of group therapy for those of us who are in need of it! Lol

I just bought another one, cheaper than therapy lol.

As you said nothing can replace it so the hell with trying lol.

It would of course be the right thing to do but given the mass confusion of how the recalls were handled and the joke of the miniscule monetary compensation from samsung we have seen thus far I wont hold my breathe.

The damn well should be offering HUGE discounts on the next device for those of us that have put up with this crap for the last 2 mos.

lol they would never give us an S8 for free. Best we can hope for is a discount, and even there I have my doubts.
With the fact there offering the s7 and s7e at full price i doubt they will do anything nice for there loyal customers in the uk now

Why don't they freaking put a stylus
It even has the word note in it

I know.. But don't forget it took samsung many stylus iterations to get it to note 7 perfection. Doubt any other than perhaps the fruity company have the resources to get it to similar level in one go.

It's only got an HD display though. Why gimp the phone with non-2K screen? Like the V20 - IPS display and huge body to screen size? No thanks.

I've been really upset that I need to turn in my perfectly fine note 7. I was having really tough time deciding which phone to get and I've decided to get the Mi Mix. It's compatible with TMO LTE band 2 &4.

I will be in China next week. Hopefully my friend who owns a cell phone store will be able to get one for me when I get there. Now I am even more excited about my trip lol

Well I am a massive Android fan and have not enjoyed using iOS or the iPhone at all in the past, my followers and subscribers know that I am pro Samsung especially the note 7 so the fact I quite enjoyed using the iPhone is what many people especially those that follow me will be shocked
I'm glad you are enjoying your phone I really am but to me Apple represents everything that is wrong with technology today.

They started the trend of non removable batteries. They started a trend of walled gardens (locking your phone into ONE source, the Apple store).

They've likely been a big influence on manufacturers decisions to aggressively bootlock their phones.

Continued use of proprietary components despite the rest of the market adapting usb as a standard.

Not to mention the several unethical moves they've made in the past for quick cash grabs:
- iPad 3 being released only to pretend like it didn't exist 6 months later, essentially offering a half effort tablet instead of developing it into what would be called the iPad 4.
- unnecessary changes to adapters just to get quick money grabs by not allowing 3rd party developers to make lightning adapters for 6 months. Under the guise to make the phone thinner despite the actual 30 pin connector being equal if not thinner than the lightning adapter. Apparently Apple thinks all consumers are as intelligent as monkeys.
- Removal of the 3.5mm plug, if any other company pulled this crap I would bet there would be some serious fire thrown in their direction. Since its Apple its not a bad thing in fact its "innovative!" No one sees this as another cash grab to sell more special adapters in order to use high quality head phones. Its clear to me that is the only purpose to removing the jack.

I cannot fathom giving a company like this my money.

The only thing I really think Apple does exceptionally well is processors, I'd be lying if I said they didn't completely obliterate the competition.

I did like it when Apple was a ring leader in both capacity and battery life but those days are pretty well done they have not only failed to be a market leader in battery life the iphone 7 actually gets LESS battery performance than the competition as well as their previous models.

Sorry I went on a rant there, I was a big Apple fan (still have several iPods) but the crap they pulled with the iPad 3 was just a scum bag move. The lightning adapter change with 3rd party restrictions cemented my opinion that I will never order an Apple product again.

I'm one click away from ordering the Xiaomi Mi Mix PRO but I want to make sure it works on Bell network in Canada. I don't know much about networks.. Anyone can help me out? I've asked Bell and they told me the phone needs to work on HSPA or (UMTS) network and frequencies between 850 and 1900 mhz.
The phone network specs taken from gsmarena:

Technology
GSM / HSPA / LTE
2G bands GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 - SIM 1 & SIM 2
3G bands HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
4G bands LTE band 1(2100), 2(1900), 3(1800), 4(1700/2100), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 38(2600), 39(1900), 40(2300), 41(2500)
Speed HSPA, LTE
Looks like it will work, am I right?

Just out of curiosity, what version of the Note 7 are you using? Did you get an Exynos model, or just a Canadian model? I've got the W8 Canadian model, and I'm so tempted to just keep it. Biggest concern right now for me is the lack of updates and root, and the theory that Samsung/Robellus *could*, in theory, push out a "big giant phallic appendage the wrong way onto the exit ramp" update that severely restricts or even kills use of the phone. I don't really think they would do that, but it's in the back of my mind for sure. Having the Exynos model would be more comforting, since at least then I could root it. With the W8, I'm not sure what to do....
