Hi all,

I am looking for a replacement for my OnePlus 10 Pro that just can't stop dissapointing me.

Requirements:
  • Fast charge with minimum 50W
  • Wireless charging
  • Great camera quality (front and main back)
  • Fingerpring sensor under the screen
  • It has to be cool (not overheating with prompt that device is too hot)
Nice to have:
  • No curved egde
  • Wide angle camera
  • More or less clean android (I can always debloat the device or if possible flash custom rom)

What is the most important for me is the abilty to handle wireless android auto while being wirelessly charged without prompting after 15 minutes that the phone is too hot so it shuts down some processes.

As far as I researched the topic it seems like most devices running Snapdragon Gen 2 could handle those requirements (yet, I am not sure).

Thanks in advance for the replies!

I'm looking for an Android tablet that will run Google Play Books and has 1080 HD. Almost like a Nexus 7 but maybe more internal memory?

I prefer it to run Google services and be snappy when it comes to surfing and reading.

Any suggestions?

Question:
Best rootable tablet for 2023.

I want to root/ or perhaps have a new rom. for a new tabet

Are there (really) any other choices than either the Lenovo or Samsung tablets?

used to have an Acer tablet, but unable to root last version.

10 inch display, decent (5000 mAh battery, would like wifi6 bands on tablet

under $250, preferably quad or octo core, the more ram the merrier.
MUST have a micro SD slot for expansion
(drats to google's dedication to NOT having them!!!)

thanks again in advance

I have been using a OnePlus 6. Want to get a 5G phone I have T-Mobile. I'm thinking of getting the Pixel 7. I'm also looking at the top of the line Samsung s23 however I don't like all the junk that used to come on the Samsung so I haven't used them for about 8 years are they still loaded with crap?
Carry my phone with me when I go mountain biking sometimes 10 -20 mi off-road if that makes any difference. Have the patches remedied problems with the Pixel 7? I haven't seen the Samsungs in person are they much larger than the Pixel 7 and the OnePlus 6? Too big a phone is hard to go mountain biking with lol

@markbnj the best option I can think of is the galaxy tab s6 lite (at $249). It has an octa core processor, a 10.4 inch display, and a 7040 MAh battery. It also accepts microSD cards and has both official and LineageOS Android 13 support.

My favorite android phone is the Pixel 6A. For $450 (regularly at $270-280 after discounts, it's $268 at the time of posting on Amazon and 450 on Google Store), you get Google's flagship Tensor COU from last year's Pixel 6, an OLED screen, a 4410MaH battery, and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage.

If you're not looking to spend more than 200 and want LineageOS, you could get the Nord N200 for $200.

Hello everyone, I've got a question: are Motorola phones worth getting these days?

I should state upfront that I enjoy playing mobile games - nothing incredibly graphics intensive, just mainly pixel JRPGs and the like, although I do want to play Honkai Star Rail and Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat when they come out (and if the DMC one comes out in America). Other than that, whatever phone I'm looking to get won't be my work phone, so it will mainly just be used for youtube, web browsing, and to read books and watch tv and movies on.

And as it's going to be a secondary phone to use around the house when I'm not busy, I don't want to pay a lot of money for it. As long as it can play Honkai Star Rail and maybe a couple of similar games, I dont need a flagship or anything.

I've previously mainly used Samsung devices, but I'm looking for something different from them, in part because I dont like all the bloatware they put on phones nowadays. I'm also maybe looking to degoogle this phone, and put Lineage on it, and not being able to do that on my old S9 plus has soured me on Samsung.

So, would a moderately priced Motorola phone be a good candidate for this? I'm not huge into the smartphone scene so I dont have extensive knowledge of all the brands, but as an outsider, I've gotten the impression that Motorola is seen as a brand that makes low quality phones, that aren't very popular, which is mainly why I'm asking.

If you’re looking at moderately priced, the Pixel 6A is better than any Motorola. It has a Google Tensor (like the 6 Pro) CPU and an OLED display.

Motorolas aren’t mad as such; but their strength is in the ultra low end. The 6A for $260-290 unlocked on sale on Amazon right now (usually $450 MSRP) is a more compelling deal (at least to me) and it also has official LineageOS support.

I couldn't find anything like this, so I'm asking here. Thanks

Hi @Lxa19

The Fairphone 4 is your best bet….
It has a removable battery, an IPS LCD, LineageOS support (although Fairphone provided 7 years of official support for the Fairphone 2, so hopefully the 4 gets the same treatment), and either 6 or 8 GB of RAM.

I really miss the Asus Nexus 7.

What would be it's equivalent in this modern time? I love reading and it would be awesome to have something similar that had a very good HD resolution and is snappy without breaking the bank too much.

Google Pixel 7a should be your choice, because its Android's Linux kernel is v5.10 what no other phones feature, AFAIK.

Excellent, I hope this will attract some discussion on new devices so new threads won't be opened.

I am not looking for a new phone right now, well maybe not depending on the outcome of HTC repairing my Sensation I guess. I sure hope to find out tomorrow. I think if I was going to get a replacement now I would probably get the SGS3 over the OneX. I really don't like the non-removable battery and maybe worse, no SD slot. I know why they did it for economic reasons but I am just not going to go that direction. Batteries do not last forever and their maximum charge level goes down over time. I want to be able to plug the SD into my computer and do a local backup. I also want to be able to get a bigger or faster SD if one comes out.
I am used to Sense but I am sure I could get used to Touchwiz as well, and I just read in the portal that ROM Cleaner works with the SGS3 now, as long as I can rid of the bloat I am content. I am sure that when my contract is done in a year there will be something newer and better out anyways. ;)

I hope it does aswell. These forums definitely have too many of those threads being created

I think I'd choose the S3 aswell to be honest. Even though the One X is a powerful phone, the S3 can quite easily out perform it, as it can with most phones.

The only time I'd be looking to upgrade is when mine become redundant, which with having an S2 (which can still keep up with the newest flagship devices) and Xperia S, I won't need to upgrade for a while I don't think.

I would take the Lumina. My girlfriend has one and its pretty good.

Never owned a tablet before.. flirting with the idea of a galaxy tab 2 10.1. As of current, I'm all good with my s3 but I'm kinda interested in what this next galaxy note 2 will bring. Guess I'm some sort of galaxy fan.. ever since my vibrant :p
