What state should N9 be in before RMA and how can I check?

What should I check to make sure my tablet is in a suitable state for RMA?

Should bootloader be locked?

The reason I ask is because I DID re-lock my bootloader - I think before 5.1.1.

I'm RMAing as there are a bunch of pixels not working right, and I have bad lightbleed. Also can't send SMS anymore and get occasional reboots
