My choice would be note4. Did lots of mod on my ageing n7000 and I believe I can't be wrong with my choice.

Good choice only if you are installing a custom ROM because touchwiz does not let you use the full capacity of your 12 cores. The one plus has cyanogen mod pre installed an also has only quad core but in benchmarking comes only a few points below the note 4

Got a One+ a couple of days back. Extreme beast of a phone and very capable.
For those who got used to the peculiarly wide screen of Note, the screen width may be a minor concern while putting 7 apps in a dock!!
Was considering Note 3 but landed an invite somehow at the last moment.
Happy with the purchase.

Seriously considering Apple at this point. Not bc I want one but bc I need a new phone and Im sick of waiting for an exciting and reliable Android device to come out.

If it doesn't have a removable battery I'm not buying it. Its deal breaker for me. Dont care about qui charging bc I have to put my phone down. I don't want to "charge" at all, I want to use unfettered, untethered and uninterrupted. Wherever I am, whatever I'm doing, I just wanna pop a battery in.

If I am going to be controlled, not get an SD (though not a deal breaker for me) or a removable battery then I might as well let the people best at control/reliability, close up the universe on me.

With Cyanogen raising money like crazy, with them about to free users from Google and the Play store altogether maybe then "Android" will be interesting again.

I simply can't wait any longer for an appropriate Android device to come out. They aren't offering anything I want to play with or anything irresistibly economical and I need a tool as a daily driver, now.

Im done with Samsung, touchwiz, knox and they got rid of replaceable batteries/sd. If this ecosystem is all the same now then I think its time for me to try something truly different.

Thanks its been great while it lasted.
