I think you must have done something wrong. because bluetooth gamepads also works with mine. I'm using a Steel series free with good results
Agreed with Claus,
I build my ybook to be an arcade game center,
And i'm using a 8bitdo controller with no issue.

touch pad issue no more

The Halo keyboard is mostly okay for me, though it's never going to replace a proper laptop for typing (I'd hate to try to write a long report with it), but the thing I dislike most about it is the touchpad. It's pretty terrible, so I rarely use it. It's also much too close to the spacebar so it's very easy to accidentaly touch the touchpad while typing and move the cursor somewhere where you don't want it to be.
The touchpad can now be disabled after the update a few days ago. Fn+F10. It also introduced large multi-window (half the screen)

Id hope the keyboard was er intelligent? The lack of gesture input makes it a bit of a chore to browse the web if you dont want to use the touchscreen, the experience is similar in other apps.

If the halo keyboard could be used as a giant contexualised gesture pad for apps its offer instant improvements, for starters scrolling in chrome wouldn't be such a ball-ache

Only had mine for a few days, but the default Launcher3 always crashes after I install a couple of programs. Even ones without widgets. I'm using Nova instead but that's annoying. Lots of video apps seem to crash. (Probably as its x86) And like most people, I don't like the touchpad.

1. Always on auto-dimming, ie. when looking at the pull-down notification bar it will darken, and then brighten when you exit out (there in videos too, distracting). Maybe caused by Intel display power saver (dpst) and/or content adaptive brightness (cabc)?

2. Also another video problem, had to enable "Disable HW overlays" in developer options as video would look washed out (in 2.35:1 videos black bars would be grey...). Needs to be re-enabled every reboot. Feel stuck on version YB1-X90F-161104, as I'm worried that if I update the "Disable HW overlays" fix will stop working.

3. Mr Magoo level DPI setting, jumbo icons in apps etc., which apparently can be changed but would mess with the touch pad...

4. Less of an issue, but still annoying. "Fit to height" in video players is useless, as the Yoga Book adds a black bar on the right hand side blocking picture info;
