I am looking more and more and I see that the Iphone is pretty fast and rounds well in terms of multimedia features.

They also claim it's great for work.

Now what is making you not switch to this device?

I'm curious to see your opinions! :)

1) I enjoy the awesome qwerty keyboards

2) I love the feel slider phones (must be landscape slider)

3) Windows Mobile supports background applications (very good for profile schedulers, 3rd party alarm clocks, time announcer, anything related to scheduling and automated apps)

4) I prefer using the stylus, but I also want to use my thumbs/fingers 100% as well but capacitive and resistive does not support that yet.

5) iPhone has a low variety of shapes and sizes

6) iPhone does not have a proper file system

7) iPhone requires itunes...wtf? Seriously we aren't that stupid, we don't need iTunes to make transferring files easy. We don't need it to download what we want. We don't need it. We know how to browse into our phone's hard drive. Apple is obviously marketing their phones towards people who don't know much about computers.

Because it's from Apple, and i don't like apple. Furthermore the OS is so locked down that allmost no custimization is possible, so if the device screws up, you can't fix it.

and it's waaaaaaaaay overpriced thanks to the hype surrounding it. I rest my case.

Actually it very customisable. You do have to jailbreak so as not to get bored but then wouldn't HTC phones be boring if you could not flash a rom or dive into the registry? :)

As others said, keyboard, and some other features that the iPhone does not offer.

Besides how WM 6.5 works, the biggest thing I love is if I don't like the version I am running, I can go forwards or backwards to a newer software version. Also the chance to see the newest features for WM. Something you can't do on the iPhone, they might have a update but, to change your whole OS, you need a new phone...

I always carried a PocketPC (based off Windows Moblie or past versions) and a phone, the biggest thing I hated about PDAs, is the limits of software, but, with our HTC phones, that does not appear to be a problem any more...

Main reason for me is MS Office. I use excel to keep track of my bills and expenses. And I dont think iphone has a comparable version! Yes there is one, but not as good as Pocket Excel.

Also, I am flashaholic! I dont think I will like a iphone, will be bored in a day! LOL:D

Apple is doing great. Like I said - smart people are making "smart phones" for dumb people. WM Phones are intimidating. Apple phones are inviting. The scary thing is who the Apple phone is inviting.

Smart people making "smart phones" for dumb people

that should be apple's slogan!

Too big

too weak - very true..cant really handle much, its like a pinto racing a F1
itunes - probably the lamest excuse besides the iphone to get money
keypad - tis true
no multi task - if it cant move..it cant move
crappy apps - even tho this is true..there are a few that are pretty cool.
everyone has one - and complains and still lines up at the store to get it as if they're going to be the only one? makes no sense..

winner winner chicken dinner..
and plus the fact that my new Ozone is the shiz! and for a fraction of the price i might add :D :D

IPhone is closed archtecture. Ca we add micro SD on iPhone? :p

Well, my boss would not like it.. :p

Also in my work, ability to remote erase your phone when you lose it. (if your mail server is exchange and through that, you are part of the domain)

Up and comming for future Windows Mobile on Domain, you can "push" new apps and patches..

Because I want to stand in the crowd :)

I want to have a unique phone ... which I cannot have that with iPhone.

And the most important thing, I want freedom to do whatever I want to do with my phone ... without "jailbreaking" if you still dont know what I meant.

iPhone is nice, but I have strong believe when Win7 is out ... together with NVidia Tegra based device, it will be one of the best!

It Can't Multi-task

No multi-tasking (surprised no-one is really talking about this), Profile switching, easy tethering and lack of Tom Tom.

On my WinMo Kaiser I can listen to a radio station on the other side of the world whilst using Sat Nav or doing something else. It can switch to a Vibrate or Quiet mode at a certain time of the week without any user intervention.

I'd like to see an iPhone do that!

The question is a double-negative, did you notice? And English is not even my first language! And as such, it does not deserve any answers. But my mom taught me to not reject anything given as a gift, so, if I am given one I am intelligent enough to put it to a good use( ...sell on ebay, etc...)
Cheers!

for myself it's the price and the fact that they are locked to O2 in the UK, which shouldn't be aloud, what were they thinking, "hmm heres a new phone lets give it to the greediest mobile company we can" who can afford 70+ pounds a month. If I ever decide to get one it will be from Italy where they don't lock phones to a particular network.
