WhatsApp is a cross-platform messaging application with voice call capability, it offers end-to-end encryption for user security and privacy. It is capable of utilising a Wi-Fi connection, as well as a devices 3G, 4G and EDGE connection. The application also allows images and video to be shared, without the associated cost of using a MMS service. WhatsApp also has the added benefit of syncing with a devices contact book, allowing easy connection to friends and family.
