Hi at all,
I've a problem with whatsapp's camera.
I state that the stock camera, gcam, opencamera is ok, but in whatsapp when I try to take a shot, the photo is all green with normal picture in a rectangle in the right up corner of the picture itself, all the rest of the photo is transparent green image.
the strange thing is that if I use a little bit of zoom the shot is ok.

I don't noticed when this issue appears, probabily in one of the last whatsapp update.

I cleaned whatsapp cache, but I do not uninstall/Install the app yet.

My android version is 8.1 with november update.

Some idea for solution.

Take a look on the attachment to undestand the issue.

thank a lot and merry Xmas at all

Augusto

PS: the front camera is OK in Whatsapp

I have the same problem since last update of whatsapp.
As a temporary fix i'm using an old version of WA (2.18.343), but it started asking to update the app.
I think the problem is due to the enabling of the camera2api, same problem with a Mi A2 lite

I have the same issue.

It really looks like an issue with Whatsapp itself or any whatsapp-internal camera library.
Normal Cam App works fine.

Solution: Use Flash for Picures. It does not mess up the Photo if enabled.

It does not only look 3/4 green but also there is a shadow of other parts of the image in the "normal" part of the picture.
Maybe an issue with the dual camera?

Got same problem. Disabling camera2api is the thing to do. Apparently there is a compatibility issue with integrated camera software on whatsapp and phone's drivers maybe.
