No one outside of Sprint can answer those questions now.

I would guess (and it's nothing more than that) late January or early February for the update. And I would be surprised if Sprint took away functionality (support for GSM mode) that's there now, but I have no actual knowledge of what Sprint will do.

I am glad if thwy would release it by December as christmas gift , Hopefully they would not block GSM Mode.

It's rolling out in December in much of the world, but in the U.S. the carriers get the code first, then make their mods, and add their own apps, and test it, before releasing it to their customers. I suspect Sprint has had the code for a while now, and is working on it, but only someone from Sprint could say for sure.
