I'm still awaiting dispatch confirmation from Amazon uk, the order status still says expected delivery 2/3/13 by 9pm, but also "not yet dispatched" :crying:

I'm considering ordering from handtec just to get guaranteed Saturday morning delivery , but amazon are offering £50 cashback, making it just £449, so it would be a £60 difference to the handtec option

I shipped my note 2 out to a happy ebayer today, so am stuck using the emergency X10 until my Z arrives, might have to put up with the x10 for a day or so to save £60

Finally blew my load on the white one from handtec today (quite fitting as loads usually are white, huehuehue)

Originally wanted an unbranded purple one, but after searching and scouring for info on xda and the rest of the web for the last month, I caved in.

From being determined to get the purple with a dock included, I'm now getting a white one without it. (will have to get it later on)
Quite disgusted by my consumerism actually.

My order was the same so I emailed Amazon and got a generic "we rely on our suppliers (well duh) and will dispatch your item when we have stock" reply. So I've cancelled my order and trying to decide whether to order from Handtec or just not bother cos the whole situation has brassed me off.

looks like the clove offer is still there, I'm still debating whether to go with Handtec, although it's clear from Amazon's response to you that they don't have their hands on any stock yet, so mine ain't arriving tomorrow from Amazon !

I'm just checking out Handtecs returns policy, cos if there's is delayed and I get the Amazon one first, I'd want to send the handtec one back - policy looks like it allows this as long as product is "unused"

£60 to get it a few days earlier? I'm in right quandary !

In case it helps anyone who got burnt by Amazon not getting their stock, Phones4U are selling the Xperia Z in black and white colours for £489.95 as sim-free and you can get this price in-store as well as online. Their information cards actually show a sim-free price of £459.95 but the sales agents say this is a mistake and will not sell you one for this price.

That's illegal, they would have to sell it. Usually they then change it after they realise. But if they still have that price on there they are legally obliged to sell at that price to any customer who approaches while it is still there.

Maybe, although I wasn't in the mood to try to argue that point with them since they could quite easily turn around and not sell me one. They still had the cards up this afternoon in the store I bought my Xperia from if anyone wants to try their luck.

I've just spoken with amazon rep on the phone, she said mine will be with me tomorrow. and sent me the following email:

"This is Kenesia the agent that you spoke with, It was my pleasure in assisting you today.
I've checked your order #026-1038xxx-591xxxxx and we're still waiting for the following item(s) to be delivered to us by our supplier Sony Xperia Z UK SIM Free Smartphone - Black.
We still expect to deliver your order by the date listed in Your Account: Saturday, 2 March 2013.
Once your order is sent you'll receive an e-mail confirming the date, contents and method of delivery.
If you don't get your e-mail confirmation by Saturday, 2 March 2013 please let us know by replying to this e-mail and we'll investigate."


it seems like Amazon have now sold out, as if you try and order a new one, it gives 1-3 month estimated lead time for new stock and the price has gone up to £525, mine was £499 + £50 cashback.

Order placed with now placed with handtec with Saturday delivery option, I'll keep whichever one comes first
