What annoys you about the H990DS? I've just ordered one. Paid £325 (approx £425 USD) brand new for the silver one from EGlobalCentral. Can't wait to get it!
I looked at buying a V20 a few weeks ago. EGC were amongst the cheapest Web stores but when I looked into their Contact Us, Returns etc. info it didn't inspire confidence.
A quick google and I learned they're not a good company to deal with.

Received it today, ordered it on the 9th so in total it took 10 days to come. Yeah they were a bit slow at responding to my emails asking where it was, but they told me it had went out of stock and was dispatching soon. They refunded me an extra £10 for the hassle. I have ordered from them before and would definitely recommend them.

Haha yep everything with the V20 is seriously slow. Or simply doesn't happen.
Hard to believe when LG marketed this just over 6 months ago as their latest Flagship.
Edit: I have thought if they'll skip 7.1.1 and go straight to O.... but so far it's like LG have given up on the V20. So I think we will be lucky getting 7.1.1.

- I wish it had an LED. I feel a flashing coloured light would be more noticeable than a white icon in the second screen.
- LG's stock keyboard is not great, and if you use any other keyboard except LG's you get this annoying keyboard icon in the notification tray. I use Swype, and I cannot get rid of the icon.
- No root for the H990DS, which means I can't get X-Posed and the few modules I grew to find essential for my uses. One being a Swype mod. Another is an ad-blocker for YouTube.
- No root also means no LMT Launcher. The screen is the largest I've used, and one handed use is near impossible. If we had root I could install LMT Launcher (pie controls), which I've grown to depend on for huge devices. All other pie control apps I've tried pale in comparison.
- No root also means no custom ROMs. No customisation at UI level. Something I miss is being able to set the phone so screen will not come on when I plug in or unplug my phone to charge. I've NEVER needed it to come on when I plug in or unplug. I'm not alone here cos CyangenMod ROMs have given this option for YEARS.

It's funny that it is taking so long to get a software update for the v20 when:
a) it sold well to the point LG has moved their profit losses in a positive direction that hasn't happened in years.
b) LG has a reputation of doing updates faster than most other manufacturers.

The more I've read the more bizarre it all is.
Different specs / hardware / variants for different regions.
No release in UK / EU.
Lack of timely updates.
No b/l unlock.
Very limited LG accessories.
LG are neglecting the V20 (and therefore us owners) despite "strong sales". I'm no businessman but none of the V20 story so far makes any sense to me.

Yep I'm guilty, I've complained about LG. I own a V20 and this is the V20 forum so I couldn't give a toss about other manufacturers.
There's plenty to complain about regarding lack of support and updates, but it's already been said many times so no point reiterating.
Do you have a source stating there will be no further Nougat update or is that just your own opinion? I don't know about LG always being fast but it sure doesn't look that way with the V20.
Anyway LG do suck somewhat. But I couldn't be more pleased with the phone, it's one of the best I've owned. Way better than the G6

Well the good news is TMobile version has just got an update bad news is it is simply a security update that takes 20 minutes to install. The security update is labeled as may 1st 2017.

It came in on mine at around 170MB.
Didn't install it though so couldn't tell you how long.
All the rumors I've seen have said 7.1.2 is coming next and it is supposed to be sometime in June. Prolly just random internet speculation though so who knows

Give or take it was around 170mb as the other guy posted, it wasn't the actual install that took forever it was actually the post install "Android is updating.." that took forever. I have quite a few apps though (~ 120)

I've no idea what security or firmware upgrades will come next. I've no expectations, just as long as something does come. So far the International variants haven't had all that much regarding updates.

I honestly couldn't care less for 7.1.1 but why LG issued only V10E for it's 990DS model? Where's 10M? Why 990DS is too slow to receive updates?
