What is that?
So project treble was an approach made by Google to make updates faster.

GSI stands for generic system image.

That means if you go to the guised and look at the project treble GSI thread, you will find room images that work on all phones that support project treble. In other words GSIs should work on all phones that support treble. Go and check it out. There are some GSI you can install.

Also project treble will make it much easier to update the phone and make custom rooms and also make them fully compatible.

Got it, that makes sense thank you. Do these GSI have the same features as a traditional custom rom? I.e. ui customization, call blocking, etc.

They do. Same as the rom when it was meant for specific models. All those features are in the system, the GSI's just use the vendor partition from the stock so hardware works right. Try them out if you are interested.

Does anyone know if Magisk v16 supports installing in dualboot patcher? I want to have two magisk rooted rooms at once. I do this right now on my v20 but my second room (lineage os) is running sipersu. Just wanted to know. Is there a way to get it to work because as far as I know magisk is not compatible with dual booting.

Dual boot patcher is not supported for this device at this time. How ever you can dual GSI with Treble support. One on slot a, and one on slot b. There is a thread about GSIs in the Razer Forum already. I suggest you read thru all of that and the Project Treble GSI forums.

You can't dual boot treble, well technically you can if you want to run the same rom on each slot. Because it is only using one data partition that each rom encryepts. If you can set the key or stop force encryption it would work. Anyone know a way to do that?

That has not worked for me, and if you wiped or reformatted with twrp you will probably hang on boot animation.
You should do it with platform tools until the devs get GSI perfected. IMO A/B and GSI treble are still new and need work.
