Where are the Test points on the g7 and how do I short them?

Use pointed tweezers. Make sure you disconnect the battery connector from the board first. And make sure signed driver enforcement is disabled on your computer first. I went ahead and opened device manager, so i could see the new port appear if I got it correct, took about 3 or 4 tries. Anyway, with battery unplugged, you have to short those two together and then carefully hold em, then plug the phone into your computer via USB. When you succeed, you'll see the qualcom driver appear under 'ports'. Then you're good, with the octoplus (or whatever box) plugged in to another usb port, and on the lg (or maybe it was jtag) you can hit connect, and should be in (to your G 7)
PS: you can take the tweezers off as soon as you see the new qualcomm driver installing. Leave the battery disconnected and phone off all through the procedure
