I have the amazon xt1768 version of the moto e4 and I want to root it the Motorola website won't let me unlock the bootloader is there some kind of exploit/think that could be ported? my I unlocked the bootloader of my last phone (blu r1 HD) using something called dirty cow would something like that work?

I know this is the wrong category but I don't have a high enough post count

You can't use dirty cow because this phone has much newer security patches. There is currently no known exploit, I don't there will be one for at least a year.

The phone came out with relatively recent security patches, you can't roll back to a version that doesn't exist. You won't be able to fix that error.

can you generate your own bootloader unlock code? if the code is hardcoded into your bootloader and Motorola is able to recall it then there must be some way to reverse engineer the codes

I too believe/hope that there should be an exploit that allows us to root/bootloader unlock. Unfortunately, I know zilch about programming/coding. I hope you are successful and are able to share a method.
