Best way is root but some of us have US phone root is kind of limit right now.
I had to remove AdBlock Plus on my (not rooted) N920C because most of the time the Internet navigation was like stopping by itself.Change the proxy server to server in adplock plus![]()
Do in Wifi as well as APN and have an add free browsing without the battery killing VPN ad blocker
If you pay for the premium subscription (I did, it's 9.99), Adguard blocks in-app ads.I use Adguard. It works on none rooted phones and works to remove any ad from all browsers. Does not work on in app ads though. It also works by making a VPN on your phone and then filtering content that goes through the VPN.
It doesn't. It's the way it works: Adguard creates a VPN so all your traffic passes there and so the Android system manager identifies it as using your battery when it's actually not, for example Chrome, etc. It's the app that's actually using your device connection. The devs of the Adguard app have a technical explanation for it if you visit their site.Yeah i noticed the same thing after only one day. It used 7%. Plus look at this data usage in about 24 hours. It blocks ads, great, but pretty sure it's a fail.
Yup. Adaway's better than Adblock plus. Especially since ABP take money from some companies to let their ads through.
What do you think is the best option for non rooted phone then?Yup. Adaway's better than Adblock plus. Especially since ABP take money from some companies to let their ads through.
Adguard. It works great. For best results, pay for the premium service so it blocks ads even in apps. What do you think is the best option for non rooted phone then?
How do you set this screenshot pleaseSelect on the APN/Wifi and add proxy 123.1.1.1:8080 thats all to block the ads
oh yeah, now i can confirm it: i am testing the premium features and i am def going to buy it. no weird battery drain either.Adguard. It works great. For best results, pay for the premium service so it blocks ads even in apps.
Adguard is great, but the running vpn notification is annoying. How to disable it?Adguard. It works great. For best results, pay for the premium service so it blocks ads even in apps.
I don't think you can do that natively. It might be possible via an xposed module but you need to be rooted.Adguard is great, but the running vpn notification is annoying. How to disable it?
On my note 5 I used to disable what they define "notification icon" in the app settings but found that the os tends often to quit adguard.I don't think you can do that natively. It might be possible via an xposed module but you need to be rooted.
Yes. That's correct. Plus it only removes the adguard notification itself, not the VPN notification which I believe is an Android System notification. On my note 5 I used to disable what they define "notification icon" in the app settings but found that the os tends often to quit adguard.
Any way to hide this vpn notification!Yes. That's correct. Plus it only removes the adguard notification itself, not the VPN notification which I believe is an Android System notification.
Having said that, I am on the latest adguard beta and switched off the main notification (i.e. the AS VPN notification is still present but the filtering content notification is off).
It's been around 20 hours since I did it and adguard hasn't been quit by Android yet.
