The VPN notification is part of the android system, NOT Adguard. What Adguard enables you to remove is just the one that says connections are being filtered.

You just have to live with it unless you root and install an Xposed module. Even then, would you really want to? You'd lost not just this one but other Android System notifications. Not a good idea.

Were any of you able to get the lifetime Adguard subscription? It's pretty awesome. Only 40 bucks but the deal expired a day ago, I think -- but it could be back. Watch out for it. It was on StackSocial.

The license is for two Android devices simultaneously plus your PC and Mac. You receive a license code that you can use on two Android devices. If you have a new device, you can transfer the code to your new Android device -- but you have to untether one of your old devices from your Adguard account first. Not much of a hassle, actually.

The price was usually around 160 dollars, if I recall correctly.

I use AdFree it is the only one I have ever used and it seems to work well enough. I didnt see it even mentioned. It requires root though. So any thoughts on this one? Should I be trying something else?
