We will see...
Some ppl says it does fast charge some doesn't.. So china sells copies and some originals..
Will let know once arrive..
Yes, we will see... It wont! :D

Only Huawei or Honor branded chargers will charge the P9 at more than 5V2A, you will NOT get the fast charging notification....Guaranteed. 150%. End of.

Saying that, I do actually use a qualcomm QC3.0 car charger and it's perfectly quick enough. Even with GPS, Data & Bluetooth all on it still gives me a 5-10% hr charging rate, so you'll probably be ok.

Ah, sorry, thought you meant a QC one!

I've got a decent (Anker) QC3.0 wall charger and same brand car charger (bought when I thought I was going to get the HTC10) that I've had for over 12 months, and similar QC2.0 versions that must be the best part of 3 years old. They all still work perfectly, certainly still quick charge my partner's HTC M9 and they are used quite heavily charging other phones & tablets, so its obvious you get what you pay for!

Hey in case you all didn't noticed, the charging current for P9 actually drops to ~1000mA when the phone is hot (when it is around 35 degree Celsius). If it is cold, then the charging current will spike to the usual ~2000mA, which will generally take 90 minutes from 0-90%.

Using the slow 5V2A charger UK plug with firmware L19C636B636.

I just tested one on my P9 and it charges at normal rate. Doesnt fast charge nor supercharge. P9 only works with huawei fast charger at 9v-2A. The super charger doesnt have that voltage available.

No check your post u said doesn't fast charge nor supercharge
And i said later on no point getting supercharge for p9
Well I was responding to someone who talked about the new supercharger
Anyways, in conclusion, the P9 only fast charges with the 9v-2a charge... The new supercharger charges the p9 at regular speeds.

So what's the consensus on the fastest charger for the Huawei P9? I understand it needs to be 9v/2a, must be able to interact with the hisilicon chip, anything else?

Well, it's your choice, I'm just saying, but if you buy fast charger, I recommend, that you don't buy it from eBay, because most of them are fake from China and they doesn't work good and brake fast, try buying one in local store.

I recomend you none, because fast chargers destroy batteries alot, It will shorten your battery life.
That's not true man, it's a non proven myth. Quick chargers work reading battery's temperature and level of charge, and control the charge speed to charge at the best rate possible.

That's why if you start using the phone while fast charging it slows down so it doesn't get too hot (and by the way, playing a game gets a battery hotter than quick charging). If it really wears your battery faster, then it's a negligible difference even on the long term.
