I am looking for op5 (from Canada). The price on banggood is $556CAD and on oneplus.net/ca is $650CAD + tax (which is 19% more even after 10% student discount) 6GB/64GB. Do you have any bad experience with banggood? How reliable the oneplus.net is? Any trouble to deal with the seller when your phone should have any problem?

Last question, how do you think huawei p10 plus? It is a much more expensive phone.

I agree. You usually get what you pay for when using obscure site that many don't know. I knwo you're in Canada, but in the US, unless it's a place like amazon, Swappa or Best Buy, I'm not to into buying phones unless direct from the OEM.

I saw some article about Gearbest selling the phone for $399 if you use a certain code.

Or you can buy it from the official OnePlus website and use a certain code from XDA to get a free OnePlus case. The case is about $30 normally.
The code can be found in some XDA article from last week.

bangood are fine. check its not the chinese version which may limit the bands and have no google play store. i suppose you can flash oxygen rom etc. also remember you will probably run the risk of paying custom tax.

I bought mine from OnePlus. I know I overpaid being in Canada with our crappy dollar but I needed to switch to a dual sim phone and the OnePlus was the only dual sim phone I knew of that I was sure I'd be happy with so I was willing to switch from the s8 to the OnePlus 5 even though it was almost the same amount of money. The ordering process was nice and easy and the phone arrived to my door in Canada in less than a week by DHL. I got frequent status updates on the shipping. So far it's better than the s8 in some ways and a downgrade in others. Which is the "better" phone depends what you need or like better.

I would not worry, there is no dodgy copies of oneplus 5 around to my knowledge. Just make sure it has OOS on it ,but even if it comes with the Chinese software you can Flash OOS later. Only on hardware spec(except for memory and storage), Surely you have a one week return policy in Canada also. Android phones never brake until warranty period has expired:cool:

Ordered mine 128GB from Gearbest on Aug 31th, and the tracking website wrote today "Departure to country of destination". I don't understand if it's from China or from Europe (need to reach Italy)... let's hope !!

Buy from the OEM direct even if it costs a little more you have 0 problems with a return or whatever if you have an issue with the device
I agree with this 100%, i've had way better experiences purchasing direct from the manufacturer when it comes to repairs, warranties, etc. When I purchase from Best Buy or online resllers, the seller just tells me "Welp, you didn't purchase the 300$ warranty so..... You're SOL buddy! Good luck contacting the manufacturer!"

I purchased my Samsung Chromebook plus from Best Buy and regretted it. The chromebook had a hardware defect, I called Best Buy and brought it to the Best Buy store I bought it from and they said "WEll, sorry dude, you didn't buy the warranty.." Then I called Samsung and they told me "If you purchased it through us, we could just replace your chromebook , because you went through a reseller, we can only repair it"

I had to get it repaired twice for the same problem :( I regret not purchasing from Samsung direct, even if it had been a few bucks more.
