which ROM to install in October 2019?

I can recommend DotOS, or be it any custom firmware but with a DotOS kernel.
That is, after installing another firmware, then you need to install the kernel from the DotOS firmware. (I attached the kernel to this post. The archive must be unzipped before installation!)

Based on the reviews of DotOS, most of them respond positively to productivity and energy conservation.

I thank you lambdae for the answer. I also subscribed to the telegram tentacles channel, did you try this rom? do I go quiet? hi looked at the discussions on the "Tentacles channel" channel and hi since there are other users who have the Redmi 3 ido.

i have installed this ROM but now i cannot get in the TWRP, power on with volume up doesn't work.
any idea?

using "adb reboot bootloader" and "fastboot boot twrp.img" saved my day
