Hello and much thanks to everyone who have worked on getting GAPPS for the nook hd+

I followed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=35811322#post35811322 and

I got CWM recovery to work and copied the Gapps/Play Store + Extras (rev2 - 2/3/2013)
and Adding Voice Search to your Gapps installation.

My question is how do I sideload apps now? Should I follow this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1994129

and enable ADB then follow the instructions for sideloading apps? Is there an easier way to do this? I remember trying to set up ADB a long time ago but gave up due to frustration.

Thank you for any help.

EDIT: One more question, might be stupid but since I flashed the CWM onto the micro SD card, could I not use said micro SD card to store any other files? i.e. movies, books, etc.

I am assuming you did more than copy those zips to the card, you flashed them, right?

No, do not follow that second thread to sideload apps. It is not necessary to do it that way anymore. To install apps, either download and install them with Play Store or copy the .apk file to your sdcard and open them with root browser and it will give you the option to install them.

No, you shouldn't use the CWM card to store other things. You need to save it for future use. You can store things there, but by leaving the card in the slot, you cannot boot to stock anymore. So it is best to put that one away and use a different one to store things.

leapinlar,
this will be a noop question, but will ask anyway; now that B&N cut the prices for Nook HD+, i am thinking to grab one for my wife.talking about sideload the apps, once the tablet rooted and CWM there, just save the apps to SD (i have another tablet with all the apps saved), and install them one by one....right? is there any app(s) when you sideloaded will complain not compatible with Nook HD+?

No, they should all install. Some may not run properly, like Google Voice, but the should install. You do not even need to root, just flash the 'Extras' zip and you can install anything you want.
