New! My personal newbie UV-cured screen protector review at post # 90. TL;DR - overall 95% satisfactory, fingerprint still works perfectly and looks and feels great.

Note that they are not listed here https://www.whitestonedome.com/collections/google/pixel but they are listed here https://www.whitestonedome.com/collections/google, although the former also says "[Pre-Order ] Google Pixel 6 Pro & 6 Dome Glass Are Live NOW!" just with no links to the product.

Direct link to P6P one here. Use the THANKYOU21 promo code for a further $6 off. Thanks to @LLStarks for that info. In the end, you pay for shipping instead of the (right now) default free 2-day shipping, and it only saves you $1.50. @lemonspeakerz says if you can find something for $1, use the XMAS25 code instead.

Fyi, if you use this code, you loose out on the free 2-day shipping and you will be defaulted to the standard $5.99 shipping.

In the end, the code still brings the total to be $1.50 cheaper than without... But the real question is, is 2 day shipping worth it for $1.50?

I say, hell yes.

If you can find something for $1, use this code instead.

XMAS25

Also, whitedome is Not an American company. Fyi if you didn't know.

Thanks to @igchy for the working promo codes breakdown.

Working Codes:

12% OFF [XMAS12]

*NO MINIMUM PURCHASE REQUIRED

25% OFF [XMAS25]

*WITH A MINIMUM PURCHASE OF $35

THANKYOU21 works, but it brings price below $30 and you pay for shipping.

I bought mine already without a promo code, but I left one in the cart while I was experimenting with other promo codes people said to try, and I just got an email with a link to buy the one in my cart for 10% off, but when I follow the link it says "WELCOMEBACK discount code isn’t available to you right now". Might be worth someone else trying it, though.

A UV kit for the regular 6 is weird. They usually just do normal protectors for phones with flat screens.

At least the installation trays look like they got a major upgrade in materials and they aren't charging the usual $50+ for either phone.

The THANKYOU21 code works for $6 off.

I confirm THANKYOU21 does work.

The "OVDektNG" currently shown at the top of the page for 10% off did not work for me, however, it's showing the P6P and P6 screen protector 2-packs for $5 off what will be the normal price anyway.

The P6P page says:

*Please be informed shipping for this item will be only available from 28th Dec onwards. Shipping will be on the first order, first served basis.

An email I just received from Whitestone regarding the request for them to make a Pixel 6 Pro screen protector. My original email below.
Hi, just adding my vote for creating tempered glass screen protectors for the Pixel 6 Pro and Pixel 6. Thanks!

Whitestone's email:
Hi

Thank you for reaching out to us.
we might be selling Pixel 6 series Dome Glass but we need to purchase the device and then develop them so it will take some times.

Thank you,

There is no need we have the case on screen protector it's tempered glass will a full pre glued back
My question too - does it work very well with the in-screen optical fingerprint reader. So far with everyone else, that's always the caveat with the screen protectors they've reported back on. The manufacturer's site doesn't mention the fingerprint reader and they're out of stock anyway. :)

Dont the current ones out there have problems with fingerprint reader?
I have this one (CoverOn) on my phone right now and no, fingerprint reader does not work. Several other people have mentioned this particular one doesn't work for them either (as with all the others). I am keeping it on though b/c it's nice, fits well, does well with not leaving too many smudges/prints, etc. Also feels nice. Until one comes out that works with the fingerprint reader, I'll stay with this and use a pin. I like the protection of tempered glass vs. TPU/PET, etc..

Exact same thing here, keeping it for the fit, feel, and protection until something comes out that works. I still believe it's a software bug since the standard P6 is also having issues with TGSP and FP

Hello all -
I've been following this thread closely as quality tempered glass screen protectors are important to me. P6P will be my first curved screen, so I was disappointed to learn that it's a pain to find quality glass protectors for them.

I sent an inquiry to Whitstone Dome 1 week ago asking about availability for P6P screen protectors. They just now responded to me that they should release a product in mid-January 2022.

E-mail:

Thank you for reaching out to us.
Pixel 6 / 6 pro will be launched on Mid Jan, 2022

Thank you,

iShieldz has a protector that has adhesive just on the fingerprint scanner part to get the scanner working. The tradeoff is that you end up with a circle in the screen thats visible all the time. I got it from my carrier.

I contacted Whitestone and they replied to me and said they will have one ready to be sold in January-ish.

I hate that I messed up the first application but the second attempt is good enough. Definitely love how the glass feels compared to the stickiness of tpu.

Left hand, meet right hand 😅

    Well, mystery solved!

Just got mine today. Will leave my Mowei on, but nice to have the Whitestones as a backup.
If you ever need a spare for your spare, I'll sell you a single for $15! ;) 😜

Ordered from France, shipping was a little expensive but after trying the mocolo one, wich spilled glue all around, and fingerprint scanner did work well at all, it was a kind of last ressort situation. Installation went smooth, the video guide and tools are very well made. It's literally the best try I have at a screen protector across 5 phones thanks to the frame around the phone, not a single bubble and perfectly aligned. Fingerprint scanner is working exactly the same as before, I did'nt even have to register fingerprint again. So, if you are outside the US, it may be a little expensive, but defininitely worth the price ! (protip: do it near your shower and put the shower full heat just before, until steam accumulate in the room, it will help to bring down floating dust)

"Thank you for your inquiry. We just received the shipment to our warehouse in CA and the fulfillment center has started to ship this item out. Please allow about 1-2 days for them to process the orders.

Keep an eye out for an email with the tracking information.

Please let us know if we can assist you any further.

    Thank you,
    Whitestone Dome Support"

    My response
"Thank you for the update, but why are new orders being fulfilled before first/older orders? That seems very backwards. Some people have ordered thiers on Dec 28 and are getting them within 2 days but people who have bought 2 weeks ago still haven't been shipped out?"
Let us know how it goes. Good luck. Definitely weird.

My review and notes about the Whitestone for P6P:
Note that I've never put a UV-cured screen protector on before.

I got mine today and had horrible luck with the first one I tried putting on. There were two air bubbles very close to the center of the top third. I cured it the rest of the way and then removed it. I also had evidently had the phone in the included tray at a slight angle the first time, so a lot of the glue ran off the one side and I had to augment what was left with part of the third vial of glue, but that was the first try that was messed up anyway. I had made sure the large table was very, very level before using it. Also I should have put paper towels down underneath the tray both times as a lot of glue went on the table, although it seems easy to clean up.

First attempt photos of air bubbles still left after curing:

I used the second one and had better luck although there were air bubbles before curing, but I responded quickly and got them out. I also felt I had to encourage the glue down to the bottom left of the screen and even then in the end, there was a tiny spot missed along the edge, and before I put the phone back in my OtterBox Defender case, I could see that the whole left curved edge of the screen protector was missing glue. I probably won't take the phone back out of the case to get a photo of that part.

The fingerprint reader works perfectly, as it did for me all along with or without a screen protector. I had the L&K TPU on before this but I was starting to notice a scuff mark or two. The screen works and feels great. Edit - here's the link to the TPU ones that weren't bad but they became scuffed of course: LK [2+2 Pack] 2 Pack Screen Protector Design for Google Pixel 6 Pro 6.71-inch + 2 Pack Camera Lens Protector, Self-Healing TPU Film for Pixel 6 Pro, Ultra-Thin, HD, [Not for Pixel 6], Bubble-Free

Photo after my second much more successful attempt. This and the whole left curved edge of the screen protector (not visible while I have the phone back in my OtterBox Defender case) were the only parts that didn't get glue:

Since I used both Whitestones on my phone, my wife used the ones I already bought but didn't open that were previously the most highly recommended by users on here who had put them on their PSPs. I don't know the brand - I'll find the Amazon link in a bit. It had German writing on the box. Edit - these are the ones she used: [3+2 Pack] for Google Pixel 6 Pro Screen Protector [Support Fingerprint Unlocking] 3x 3D Curved Tempered Glass and 2x Camera Lens Protector for Pixel 6 Pro 5G

She never put a UV-cured screen protector on before either but she watched the official video and got hers on very quickly. She says she's the idiot savant of putting screen protectors on even though she's at least as nervous about them as me, but she's had much better luck than I recently. The box had three screen protectors so we have spares now, although hers don't have the cutout for the selfie camera.

Scrapped the expensive Panzerglass TPU and slap the whitestone on P6P.

The smoothness is out of this world and it feels so natural.

During installation, surface is not levelled and the adhesive roll to right side and worried the glue will not be enough for whole screen. Waited to spread across entire screen and it sits well after curing.

Every penny worth to pay the shipping price to get earlier in UK.
Seems like P6P curved glass screen for whitestone is in high demand as still not available in UK.
