Thanks for the answer. But can the protective glass be removed again? It is glued to the display with an adhesive? Is there no backlog?
It can be easily removed like any other tempered glass screen protector. The silicone adhesive is not that strong. You just start from on edge and carefully lift it off. Any adhesive residue can be removed with alcohol pads but most of the adhesive seems to lift off with the protector when you remove it.

Once you remove it you can't put it back thoug.

I got mine....feels beautiful, just like the naked screen. Had no problems with installation, but not cheap, especially in Australia where is cost me $63 + postage.
I am a bit of a fanatic when it comes to the screen being in perfect condition, phone being protected, and I pay for insurance on top of that, but when it comes to me upgrading my phone in a couple of years time, I know my phone will be the best one available for sale, and look as good as the day I got it. I tried about 6 tempered screens before I installed the Whitedome, and every one of them was rubbish, and not all were cheap. I don't think I kept any on for more than 2 days before peeling them off in disgust. The only other screen that was ok with was the Spigen NeoFlex which was a wet application soft screen. Not as good to touch, is not tempered glass, but did apply well and stayed put. Had a tacky feel to it, but still would protect your phone from keys in the handbag and minor scuffing. I have many cases that I am testing, Ringke Flex seems ok, Spigen Neo Hybrid seems ok.

Completely agree. After having had one of those edge sticking (expensive) tg screen protectors, couldn't be any happier now with the Whitestone. Being a bit OCD myself, I've 'locked' my S8+ in a Pelican Vault case.

Does anyone know if I'd have issues installing this protector while I also have a slickwraps leather decal on the back of my phone which adds a few mm bulk? Worried it wont fit right in the plastic installation frame. Cheers

There's not a whole lot of play, but I bet you could stuff it in there.

Hi guys.

I just got mine today from Mobile fun. Spent £47 including delivery. This did hurt I wont lie. I decided to go for it because I started noticing small scratches on the naked display and I didnt want to damage it further so that I better get this thing. I have had very bad experiences with screen protectors for curved surfaces. I have just done a successful install even though I messed up slightly, no panic.

What I did notice was that I received 2 tubes of adhesive in the box which is great. However they sent only a single protector. Not sure whats going on there. Anyhoo, as a few other smart folk, I have decided to keep all the plastic bits that came in the package so I can use it again in the event I need to. Wondering if anyone has been able to successfully find a replacement glass for this? I want to purchase one just in case this one cracks so that I have one ready to go.

Anyone?

Yes, you get 1 screen and 2 tubes of glue. If you have a problem with bad installation, you can apparently clean the glue off and do a second installation with the second tube of glue. I just hope later on you get buy the screen and glue by itself without the UV light to make it cheaper.

They started sending 2 tubes now? I only got one with mine. It wasn't needed since my install went really well, but it would have been nice to have if things went sideways.

My first package had 1 tube and second package had 2 tubes of glue.

When I took off the first protector and was inspecting it I noticed that the inner side of the protector scratched really easily. It got tiny scratches even when cleaning harder with alcohol pad. Just be careful if you mess something up and want to try second time.

Ps. I have not had any issues with the second protector and I must say that this is the best screen protector I have ever used during 10+ years.

That's great to here about the 2 tubes you got! I too paid that amount from Mobile Fun and have mine coming via DPD tomorrow. Did you do anything special to ensure a properly aligned and bubble free installation? Don't wanna mess this up but I'm VERY OCD so I'll spend a good half hour cleaning the dust off, getting the right lighting, flat surface etc.

I just followed the video and it worked out well. The tube didnt really work as expected. I took the black end off and when I turned it over to attach on to the black dispenser peice, it spilled, thankfully inside the hole where the black dispenser goes. Nothing was wasted thankfully at is spilled at the exact spot it was supposed to so I carried on with the installation and it worked out well in the end.

Its my first day with it so will report back if any issues.

What I did notice was that the excess adhesive seeped through the sides overnight and went into the case I had on. Not a huge issue, just wiped it clean and nothing was damaged. To the touch, the adhesive feels like oil which is strange.

Oh dear! Seems people have mixed outcomes when it comes to installing this thing! Thanks for the info though! :) Hoping it doesn't run down the back of my phone as I have a genuine leather decal on which I don't want ruined. Very odd though about the consistency! Expected it to be like glue...

Be good to see how you get on! Wondering if bubbles will appear or if the adhesive around the edges will collect dust.

Does anyone have any opinion of this protector on a phone hat hasn't had any type of screen protector on for 3 weeks? It has very fine almost invisible scratches at the start of each curve. I'm wondering if the adhesive will fill if in and make it unnoticable, or if it would cause issues?

I had some scratches on my screen when I put this one. They are no longer visible under the protector but they are still there underneath for sure. Don't understand the nature of your question. Is there a concern of some sort?

No that basically what I wanted to know. Some protectors make scratches more noticeable and worse instead. I know they will still be there I just don't want this to make more noticeable instead.

Yup, you can't see the scratches under the protector for sure. All the best.

Guys any luck finding a replacement glass screen of the same size and dimensions of the one supplied by Whitestone? I would like to buy one as a spare asap. I have another vial of adhesive ready to go.

I know this thread had kind of died down lately but I read through all 32+ pages and it inspired me to buy my own LOCA glue and curved tempered-glass screen protector and attempt to recreate the method described here. I did the project just yesterday and I have to say it far exceeded my expectations. It is the best screen protecting solution I have ever seen and I got it to work correctly on the first attempt and my out the door total was maybe 1/3 to 1/4 the cost of the whitestone dome kit. If people are still interested I can take photos of my install and even write up a guide.
