So I installed mine on my regular S8 last night. Let the phone sit over night, and started using it this morning.

A couple thoughts:

If you are not going to be using a case, I am not sure this is the best protector.

First of all, there is a noticable lip on the sides of the protector, this isn't the biggest deal, but it changes the feel of the phone.
Second, the excess bonding solution / silicone will "Ball up" and look like lint or dirt on the sides of the phone. Unfortunately I have a spot on the left side, where a little too much adhesive must have gotten wiped away underneath, and it borderline looks like a small chip in the screen. I am OCD so I am not sure how long I can leave this protector on. I don't use cases, just microfiber pouches custom fit to the phones.

I may take another crack at it when they come back in stock. I thought I was very careful when installing, and thought I was diligent during the alcohol swabbing after the first curing, but maybe I wiped away too much.

Also, please resist any urge to wipe anything that looks like dirt or dust or balls on the sides of the protector. I don't think this is an issue for those using a case, but for those who don't, be aware. I wipe my phone down constantly throughout the day and will eventually start wiping away the adhesive.

So who is going to be the first to try it for the S8? If you do can you report in case compatibility as well?

Amazon Smile Link

Link to video.
You know the first link goes to an icrap 7 screen protector, correct? Far as I can tell, this isn't even available for the S8+ or S8. I'm guessing the only ones dumb enough to pay for this are the people who get icraps.

Also, WHO would pay ~$50 for a screen protector? That's just much too expensive. yes, the device costs about $850 but unless this is guaranteed to work, I don't see myself spending $50 for it.

Subscribed. Gotta love the times we live in -- I mean a 17 page thread on a screen protector?! :) Anyway, I am REALLY interested in reading about the first person to try and use the adhesive and UV light with a different, cheaper glass protector. If this was a reusable / renewable solution, it would address the last of my remaining concerns and I would buy one on the spot! Spending $45 each time is not a good option for me as my experience has been that I have seen some pretty random times where my tempered glass protector was cracked and needed replacing (see the earlier post about the guy cracking his on his plastic remote control).

I would imagine this would be easy enough to with some low viscosity LOCA and any of the clear tempered glass, just pull off the adhesive and make sure it's clean. I would love tempered glass, but at this point because of the amount of effort I think i'll just stick with the rubbery type ones.

I believe the trick here may be to wipe away the excess BEFORE the second curing. At this point, the adhesive will not be completely solid and should allow for a bit of cleanup without pulling away material. Just my two cents. Will be installing mine this evening.

Yeah, I did that, but maybe I took too much away after the 1st curing. I think the key is to just make sure it isn't on the frame and don'rt wipe under the glass. I just hope the protector doesn't damage the stock oleophobic coating, as I might remove it soon, I am going to try and resist the urge to though.

When I created this thread it went to the S8 protector, they have since sold out on amazon and removed the listing.

Just because you dont want to buy it doesnt mean others dont. Its still cheaper than any deductible and if you actually read the thread you can see that there are people who will buy it.

Didn't know people like you existed in XDA. How disappointing.

The listing is combined with whatever they have in stock. The are out of stock on this item. The seller said they plan on getting more this week. At that time the same like that only shows IPhones will then show S8 and/or S8+ devices

I'm going to pull mine off soon and try the official Samsung Protector I had picked up, too much adhesive got wiped away on the sides and I can see very tiny slivers of light bleed on the left and right side. I am definitely going to try again though when they come back in stock. Clarity is awesome, I just wish the lip wasn't as big for using without a case.

I also have a long sliver of an air bubble running up and down on the left side of the display...

installed mine just now, I also have some adhesive sticking out on the edge, but luckily it's not covering any area of the actually screen.

One thing I noticed during installation was that after you put on the adhesive, you can tilt your phone so the puddle of adhesive goes back to the center.
Another thing is that, after you put on the glass and let the adhesive spread, you can still move the screen a bit to make sure it's aligned correctly and that the adhesive is spread out evenly.

Most important thing is the wipe/cleaning after the first cure, make sure that excess along the edges are wiped, especially at locations where the buttons are.

So now that those of us who have this installed have had time to use it for a bit (I love this thing), what are your suggestions for the best cases from a compatibility standpoint? I'm currently running naked, as I have a Spigen Slim Armor and it causes the screen to lift at the edges.

Feedback much appreciated! Cheers.

I'm using the UAG Plasma Case and works without a problem.
Haven't had a full chance to check other cases yet.

This case is awesome. Probably the best case I bought as I have purchased 3 different ones. I love the fact the the cutouts for the camera, flash and finger print reader are all separate. Here is a link if anyone is interested:
