Who did NOT put on a screen protector?

I found it much easier to apply the screen protector to the NC than to any device I've ever had. Maybe it's because its a larger area. It usually takes me 45 minutes to put a screen protector (perfectly) on my EVO and I usually trash 1 or 2 protectors in the process.

With the NC it went on the first time I tried. No dust, no air bubbles, beautiful.

I never let my screens go outside naked.

Thinking about trying a $2 anti glare screen protector from Amazon (not allowed to link to it here). Mainly for fingerprints. I tried Rain-X, but it didn't work too well for me. I also always end up getting a decent scratch on my touch screens, even though I baby my devices.

I don't bother with screen protectors since my DS. Haven't managed to scratch my Razr, G1, G2, or any other glass-fronted device.. then again, I'm ridiculously careful to make sure if I'm wearing rings that they never touch the glass, that the device doesn't go into a pocket with anything harder than a receipt in it, and that I don't set anything down on top of it even 'just for a second'.

Only time I get any kind of difficulty sliding on the glass is playing games like PewPew or AirAssault for more than twenty or thirty minutes at a time... only up side to a screen protector might be a slightly more 'paperlike' feel if you're using a stylus.

Oh, and I'm not using a carrying case, slipcover or anything like that.
Really don't understand how people can scratch up their devices, taking even basic precautions. Don't let the dog chew on it, don't hand it to anyone in the single-digit age bracket under any circumstances, don't stuff it into a pocket with your keys or loose change, be aware of what's on your hands and where they are.

I wasn't considering one, since every touchscreen phone I've had, and the Archos101 I had wiped fingerprints off very easily.

The Nook Color seems to want to hold on to finger oils and not let go!

I'm definitely going to have to look into a protector for that reason alone. Glare here in the office is pretty bad with the glossy screen, but the finger smudges bug the crap out of me.

I would also recommend to put the screen ptotector on your Nook. Mine went naked for the first month and it was a fingermark fest. I was leery of paying $18 for B&N one but found a great alternative at Amazon. Search for ishoppingdeals nook screen protector. They sell 2 for $8 with free Prime shipping. I can attest that these are great protectors. They fit like a glove, easy to install as long as you take care of dust (do it inyour bathroom after taking morning shower), and they drastically reduced the glare. My Nook is now somewhat usable outside while before any direct light would blind the screen. I also found it easier to navigate the screen with this screen protector, as it is easy to glide with just enough stickiness.

After reading so many bad reviews about screen protectors I decided to without but my screens were getting too smudgy. I bought the ones from B&N, cleaned the screen first with a little bit of rubbing alcohol and had no problem putting it on. I don't feel any loss of sensitivity. So easy, why so many complaints I thought. Such a good experience that I decided to put one on my Droid 2 Global.

What a disaster! Good thing the package came with three, I used all of them. I used the same technique with the rubbing alcohol, pushing it down slowly, etc. I spent several hours and let loose many swear words at the thing. Third time was the charm. If that had not worked the Droid would be naked.

I put one of the the two from the Crazyondigital pack. Went on easy with no hassle, stopped literally every fingerprint smudge and made it seem like its easier to slide finger across.

I just tore mine off. I used a writeright one for iPad. I suffered a noticeable loss of sensitivity. I might have a unique problem here, as I use the same type on my Eris with no problems.

I wiped down tonight with RainX wipes and that seems to help a lot with smudges. There are still a few there...but way less noticeable for some reason. Can't see them in anything but really bright light. Screen feels silky smooth as well.

no screen protector. I see no point honestly. I already have it in a case. Just close the flap = screen protector =P
Now if i could find a nice matte finish screen protector I might actually put one on tho.
The NC definitely is a fingerprint magnet.

Took a hot shower, steamed up my bathroom, ripped open the B&N screen protectors, used only the first one. 100% the best job I've ever done on a screen protector on a device.

Zero air bubbles, nearly perfect alignment. Nobody that has seen my nook has believed me that there was a screen protector on there. Really awesome, and since I put it on when I first got my nook Whenever I decide to resell/shelf this badboy one day it'll be in mint condition.

Tried to apply an anti glare screen protector that I bought from citigeeks on ebay. The price and quality of the screen protectors are good, but it was far from a perfect application. I ended up with 2 small air bubbles that I know are going to drive me crazy.

It's a very nerve racking process that requires the hand precision of a surgeon! >.<

I do like the texture of the screen better though.
