Who did NOT put on a screen protector?

Used the screen protector form one of the crazyondigital bundles. It was antiglare, with zero fingerprints. I did a horrible job of applying though. Couldn't get it on straight, so had to try a few times, and by that time, at was a bust.

It adds a lot to the screen's picture though. Makes it less sharp, and adds a sort of graininess to it, with a darker tint. I would have probably removed it in a short time anyway.

Improves touchscreen responsiveness? Really? I have a protector on my Droid and it seems worse than before I put it on.
Before I installed the BN anti-glare screen protector, my screen had a tacky texture. It seemed to grip my fingertips as I slid them across the screen. This same tackiness would also collect fingerprints like no other screen I've used. I've heard this is due to an anti-glare coating used on the screen. Anyway, over time, I found me screen would begin to behave erratically, likely due to moisture/oil accumulation as mentioned above.

After I installed the protector my fingertips glide effortlessly across the screen (like my Droid 1) and I have had not a single screen freakout.

The only downside has been a slight decrease (barely noticeable to me) in sharpness/clarity and a couple of dust motes stuck under the protector.

I started off without a protector, but when in the B&N store verifying something else I started talking to the Nook Expert and got a chance to try her anti-glare protected Nook.

She installed it for me and was willing to go through a stack until she got it on properly with no blemishes underneath.

I have fairly oily skin and the fingerprint problem was just too much to bear. The AG screen protector has a good texture, hides the fingerprints well and and all of the strange double taps on the keyboardd are gone now.

I had a guy who didn't offer to put it on (the screen protector I bought at BN). He said it would be easy. So I went home to do it.

Well I cleaned it with the microfiber cloth. I thought I got it thoroughly cleaned, but when applying the screen protector it always left a little black fleck from the cloth that caused bubbles. Boo :(
Gotta find someone in the store willing to do it correctly, because I don't want to keep spending money to mess it up.

Same thing happened to me. A tiny dust particle got stuck underneath the protector. Not an easy task to put it on perfectly.

What's the best anti-glare protector? I need to get someone to maybe put it on for me, my hands shake. The one that I got from crazyondigital looks like it was made for a kindle or something.

I received my ZAGG Invisishield from Amazon today. I'll give the shower trick a shot to get the dust out of the air before attempting it. I had an invisishield on my ipod touch and while it did give a different tactile feel to it, I didn't find it obtrusive to use or very obscuring to the screen.

I got one on my wife's nookie and mine also. I also have ZAGG's on our phone (bought the 3 pack special at best buy and cut to fit. Which wasn't much bigger than my hd2)

I do autobody work, so my hands get real crappy real fast. So, I use a screen protector on anything that I am going to touch.

Putting it on my Nookie was great and fast and no problems, just did it at the kitchen table with kids breathing the dust away, I also bought a blankie for my Nook and between the two, I think that I should be fine.

If you buy the screen protectors at a B&N store, they will install for you at no extra charge. Plus you get a microfiber cloth. I haven't noticed any degrade in screen performance.
Granted that they actually know how to put one on... We had a customer that wanted a bookseller to install their protector for them, but no one felt comfortable doing it. So they pulled me out from the back (receiving manager) to install it, luckily I nailed it the first time, lol, guy even tried to tip me.

Just watch some youtube vids on installing the covers, it's not really hard at all, just make sure to align the top (or bottom) completely before you peel off the plastic part (the piece that the cover is stuck to before you install it.)
