Can't imagine getting a phone now days with a physical keyboard.
The main reason i want the physical keyboard is for gaming..i hate using an on screen controller for the Snes Emulators...and playing replica island sucks on the incredible as well...but for texting, i have mixed feelings about a physical keyboard, because its nice and i used to be a beast at texting when i had the Lg V...but for the past 3 years i have been using virtual qwerty keypads and while i still have a bit of trouble with them, its easier for me to use them than physical ones...and besides the stuff about the keyboard...this phone will probably come pre loaded with Gingerbread and have a amazing processor...i like the Snapdraggon...but the GPU sucks and also i tried to load 720p movies onto my phone and it couldnt process them...Also im guessing this screen will have a higher resolution...sorry for the long post, lol...just wanted to explain myself a bit

I really don't see the need for another phone until the LTE phones come out. As a matter of fact, I may not switch until an LTE version of the incredible is released.

I like the phone the OP posted minus the keyboard.
I wish verizon had a phone like the incredible (maybe a bit bigger) but that was dual-mode capable since I travel overseas a lot and they dont have many CDMA networks over there.

Probably will be LTE, testing now.

Hey guys, I would be willing to bet that the mystery device with the 4.3 screen will be LTE. The reason I say this is because we (VZW) are testing and building LTE in the Ohio market where I am working now. I am not sure when the scheduled punlic release is because that is not my end of things, but the vast majority of sites have been converted from T1s to EBH (Ethernet Backhaul), had the antennas installed for LTE (700MHZ), and many have the LTE BTS product powered up and on air now. The testing is with a USB device now but I see no reason for them to deploy a shiney new phone months from now that would not have LTE in it. The VZW plan is to phase out CDMA voice, much like analog was over time, thus freeing up XCEM slots in the BTSs for DOM-A cards and adding more EVDO carriers (what I am doing as I am typeing this post). Pre-15xx NBSS release on the Nortel platform you could only have DOMs in slots 3,8, and 10, but now all are ok. The end goal is IP based voice on EVDO-A and data on LTE. Just my opinion from the network side.

The first 30 markets to get LTE will the the already released list of "NFL Cities" before the year's end. Verizon also stated the only devices they will release at first in LTE are mobile network cards. the first LTE phone won't be released til Q1 2011. So neither of these phones will be LTE ready.

The phone with the qwerty keyboard will NOT have gingerbread.
It's the HTC 'Merge', please don't call it the 'Incredible HD'. That just makes it sound stupid. It's not even anything like the Incredible. The internals are supposed to be completely different.

And if anyone is seriously gonna ditch a phone they just got 4 months ago for a phone that STILL doesn't have LTE, at the LOW price of $500, you're only gonna punch yourself in the face when the first LTE devices do get released months later. and then probably throw another $5-600 in the trash to get it.
